This is rare and unusual of Tinubu to share opinion on how to resolve a National crisis. To him it's always about the most ingenious and crooked ways to win elections and grab money from the treasury. It's the only thing he has ever known or cared about

Awoleesu:
This man is either ignorant of the structure and operations of the Fulani nomadic system or has barely lost touch with the reality of the politics of 'Northernizarion'...

His recommendations are no doubt positive, and contributory to solving the prevailing problems of "herders/farmers" clashes. However, Tinubu may have directed his suggestion thrust at empowering the regular and visible day-to-day cattle herder, while missing out the approach of protecting the investment and political interests of the real cattle owners!

Fact is, the real cattle owners are very wealthy people, most of whom are engaged in many other dark dealings, trading trans sahara and across. They do not need the kind of 'empowerment' Tinubu is talking about!
And their interests transcend such simplicities as survival or economic goals. May I be explicit to inform Mr. Jagaban that they are carrying out an expansionist crusade! A movement that right from its roots doesn't believe in shared prosperity! They want to possess and control all resources; they believe in the conquest mentality! So, these ideas Tinubu is propounding would only, at best sound farcical to them! ( if you doubt my position, wait for a rejoinder from the likes of Myetti Allah on Tinubu's statement).

The ideas and suggestions contained in Tinubu's readings are only workable in a sound and progressive society... Unfortunately, Nigeria is not one!

Nice one Jagaban.

As usual, people have been shouting he should talk all this while, now he spoke they still abuse him while leaving the point he raised in his statements to bicker and shout while the issues ravaging the country remain unsolved.

However I think Tinubu should have also hammered more on the terrorist Fulani herdsmen that unleash havoc. Although he spoke about deploying targeted securities to affected areas, what will happen if those guys run to other areas?

We need a total overhaul of the security system and a more tailored security system that is more tailored towards the Nigerian problem and the people in government and their advisers should be able to come with strategic solutions.

State policing without strategy and better instrument of policing will also fail like the Nigerian Police force, we will just be going around in circles.

If the presidency like they should listen, if not then they should look on while the nation go up on flames.

Either way is a win-win for us, you solve the problem is a win, you make the nation break up is a win.

media spinning, this press statements has been release years ago. if you read carefully you will see that it suggest ideas that government probably borrow but did not manage very well. I think they just repost for people who are saying 'the man is silent because of his ambition'.

This statement is a preamble to Tinubu declaring to run for 2023, we should start seeing posters very soon. He made some valid points these are the steps that should be take n to resolve the issue.

However, no sane governor in the south will go with the idea of getting any of the herder a land for them to herd any governor from the south that does this will be committing a political suicide, the pain and agony the marauding herdsmen has caused specifically in the south is the reason for this.... Fayemi of ekiti state has decided to give them land for ranching, eyeing an illusory presidential ambition.

I understand your point, but frankly, that's not even the angle I'm projecting this issue from...

Besides, many so-called Yoruba muslims have aired their voices against the herdsmen criminality or in support of activism against same.

The man is a shameless hypocrite he created a problem and now he is writing gibberish as solutions to the problem he once created. Nigerians will be the most foolish and dumbest people on the face of the earth if they allow this criminal to brainwash them once again and become their president in 2023.

Re: Tinubu Lists Four-Step Solution To Farmer-Herder Crisis by samdunzo: 7:27pm On Mar 13, 2021
I've already addressed this issue:
1) Federal ban on open grazing that should be enforced with a shoot on sight order
2) Establishment of National Park Defense Unit to flush out criminal elements from our national parks
3) Decentralization of the police force. Governors should be able to choose their own commissioners and the commissioners should be answerable to them alone, not some IGP sitting in Abuja
4) NE and NW states should work with private companies to establish ranches in empty areas around the states. The reason why these two regions should take charge is because they have the highest number of domestic Fulani living with them, so placing ranches there will reduce ethnic tensions. Plus, these two regions contain 49.6% of nigeria's landmass. The FG should simply provide financial assistance to the states that need it.
Anything other than these steps is simply playing to the gallery

All Tinubu talk is on political correctness, whereas he knows that the cattle herders have refused modern system of raising cows for meat and dairy in enclosed RANCHES.

He knows that whatever meeting is called between the state governors, federal government reps, cattle herders and farmers, the cattle herders will not accept the modern method of raising cattle in enclosed ranches.

Tinubu knows that the cattle herders are simply gunning for occupation of other peoples’ lands in the south and middle belt regions of Nigeria; that’s the reason why the cattle herders prefer wandering about in bushes with cattle instead of embracing modern method of raising cattle in enclosed ranches.
