The old fool should have just remained silent. He made a wrong political calculation in 2023 and now it's hitting back and everything is falling like a house of cards, history repeats itself when men fail to learn from history and historically speaking most Yoruba leaders have failed to learn from history.

what's happening in Nigeria is genocide sponsored by federal govt, Fulani are on conquest in southern Nigeria, the East are taking their destiny in their hands but my people are still busy with frivolity

how can you tagged Fulani killing people on their ancestral land as farmer-herders crisis. is anyone fighting for Fulani land in their land? why should they be killing people unjustly in their own land?

OK some few of idiots kill people unjustly and all we could is to lament, na so we don't value human lives reach? the people that are suppose to protect our lands caught those that have wasted their kinsmen and hand them over to another civil terrorist

we are in a deep shiit in southwest with our nonchalant attitude and political correctness

Farmers/Herders crisis = Fulani Taqiya.

It's pathetic that Tinubu is trying to be politically correct about fulani violence in order to remain in good books of the Terrorist regime. There's absolutely no point trying to complicate issues here when the solution to fulani terrorism is simple and direct. Confusing matters and denying the obvious that massacres/genocide by fulani terrorists on indigenous people in Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria is part of fulani agenda to fulanize the whole country into Ruga hamlets (fulani settlements) for fulani occupation is nothing but an act of Cowardice!

Land grab and expansion of Usman Danfodio's fulani empire from Northwest down to Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria by fulanis is the REAL BONE OF CONTENSION here. Fulani extermination and displacement of indigene land owners with backing of late buhari's terrorist regime is the CRUX AND CRADDLE of the matter. Writing long epistles and sugar coating fulani crimes against Nigerians instead of tackling the real issue headlong only help fuel fulani violence on Nigerians the more.

Tinubu suggest that state govs give unoccupied public lands to fulanis as part solution to so called farmers/herders clash. How is giving land to murderers at the expense of victims/real land owners a solution? Is giving land to fulanis not the same thing as creation of "fulani settlements"?
BTW, why must state govs in Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria be forced to give lands to so called fulani herders when they're not indigenous to Nigeria? Isn't that ridiculous?
Ok, give lands to fulanis and the next thing they'll demand for is local govt. When fulani population increases (thanks to foreign fulanis from Niger Rep and Sudan) and local govts becomes too small for them, they'll demand for states. As they continue making more demands, their genocidal campaign of bloodshed will continue. See how futile giving land to fulanis will be? It'll only increase fulani violence and bloodshed on a larger scale. Ruga/Ranch/Land/Cow Colonies/Fulani Settlements for fulanis will NEVER SOLVE FULANI TERRORISM.

Some Nigerians think fulanis don't know about modern methods of cow rearing. Most even think fulani people don't know their moving about with cows from one state to another is by far outdated. Don't be deceived, fulanis are clever and well educated than hausas so they know everything about modern methods of animal farming. The main reason why they're PRETENDING and sticking their ground to cattle grazing lands is because COW REARING is not their REAL AGENDA. Fulani agenda is - Fulanization! And for them to implement their agenda, they'll have to exterminate millions of indigenous Nigerians to make room for pure fulani society. While at the same time make nonsense excuses for cattle grazing reserve encroachment.
Fulanis, though satanic in mind and thoughts are not stupid. They know exactly what they're doing. Completing Usman Danfodio's 1804 fulani conquest of hausas to the rest of Nigeria is the soul and backbone of their fulanization.

Fulanis are ethnic supremacist and their goal is never about cattle herding. They're only using cows as front for their undercover territorial expansion by taking over rulership of every land they set their satanic foot on.
The only way to deal with these murderers is by wiping them off out of our lands. Fulanis are not Nigerians so they have no business whatsoever being in Nigeria. They're nothing but bands of savages/murderers/terrorists/illegal aliens all rolled into one. A CURSED TRIBE that leaves rivers of blood everywhere they go.

A word is enough for the wise.

Okay, let's see what Tinubu has to say

1
. Maintain reasonable and effective law enforcement presence in affected areas. The proposed reform of the Nigerian law enforcement apparatus towards state and community policing can help in this regard. The legislative and administrative measures required to make this a reality should be expedited. In addition to alleviating the present farmer-herder crisis, this reform will also bolster efforts against the banditry, kidnapping and robbery plaguing communities across the country. Governments need to employ new technology and equipment to enhance the information gathering/surveillance and response capabilities of law enforcement.

The problem with the Police always, in my mind has to be FUNDING...so starting state police, wont solve the problem. Anyway, we don't like I always say, have enough of a tax to gdp ratio to fund the police. The sad thing is that the police is poorly funded...and sorting that out requires expanding Nigeria's tax base, and diversifying our economy away from oil

FINAL WORD: Good idea...but it still needs money.

2. Help the herders’ transition to more sedentary but more profitable methods of cattle-rearing. Unoccupied public land can be fenced into grazing areas or ranches and leased to herders on a very low-cost, nominal basis. The leasing is not intended to penalize herders. Rather, the nominal fee is intended to ensure the herders are invested in the project and incentivized (by reason of their investment) to use the land provided. This aspect will also mitigate any resentment over herders being given land for free. Government, in turn, being a responsible lessor, must help with supplemental feed and water in these areas. This will enable herders to better maintain and care for their livestock thus enhancing their incomes. Herders can augment income by becoming suppliers to the leather goods industry. Additionally, herders can also develop a more symbiotic relationship with farmers by, for example, trading animal compost to the farmer in exchange for animal feed.

The fact is, we could do this by simply fixing the railways as well. Don't put herders or give herdsers land in any area below the River Niger and Bneue...because no one wants that in those areas.

Fix the railways....so that cows can be transported by rail, and half of the issue is solved...if not 3/4 of the issues.

On a more broader scale, high time African countries and herder tribes got together to end roaming with cows. Nigeria, as regards herdsmen is lucky that we have just one herder tribe. South Sudan has a civil war fuelled by its two major tribes, who happen also to herd cows. Then there are herders from Sudan proper, and herders elsehwerwe.....and let's not forget Kenya, and Uganda who have two-three herders (and the Masai beleive every cow belongs to them

FINAL WORD: No plan for stopping herding is complete without railways railways.

3. Assist farmers increase productivity by supporting or providing subvention for their acquisition of fertilizer, equipment and machinery and, also, by establishing commodity boards to guarantee minimum prices for important crops. In the medium to long term, resources must be dedicated to establishing better irrigation and water catchment systems to further improve farm productivity and mitigate the dire impact of flood and drought cycles brought about by extreme climatic cond

Commodity boards? Wow...we got rid of those in the mid 1970's...and then there is the protected price thing(subsidy by another name..and on our limited income)

But the thing is, we need mechanized farming....eventually

This strikes me as a 'going back to the past'. It would have worked back in the 1960's..,,, not now when population is too high.

FINAL WORD....Sorry, but I'm not into commodity boards. I prefer we improve farmer educaiton....and land conservation methods.

4. Establish a permanent panel in each state as a forum for farmers, herders, security officials and senior state officials to discuss their concerns, mitigate contention and identify trouble and douse it before it erupts.

Might work short term, till we get the railways and other transport infrastructure running, and we can then transport cows without roaming around

FINAL WORD: Good idea.
