You must have heard them say things like, "it is good for you", and that without (doing) it, "you would die" or "not survive" or "fall sick" or "go insane" or "lose something important" or "not attain adulthood but still remain a child and immature" etc.

All these are lies from the pit of hell because on the contrary, it's when you fornicate or masturbate, in other words, sin, that you'd actually lose something, because that means you've fallen into temptation.

But if you don't fall into such temptations, you wouldn't lose anything in Truth, instead you'd gain something very important, which is the victory over temptations, hence you'd be feeling as an overcomer having overcome the temptations of the devil, which is a feeling those who succumb to the devil's lies and fall into temptations do not have. It's exclusive to those who don't.

The devil wants you to feel as though you'd not be able to survive if you don't yield yourself to sin. He makes it seem as though you're going to be exalted if you sin, and as if you're missing something or going to lose something if you don't.

The Truth is that the devil's a big liar! (John 8:44). You won't lose anything, and you're not missing anything, but it's if you sin that you're actually going to lose something important. But if you only get to find out the Truth after you'd sinned and fallen into temptations, you'd only be filled with regrets.

That the same way he deceived Adam and Eve in the beginning. Despite all the fruits that God made freely available to them, they chose to believe the devil's lie that it was the one that God told them not to touch that made them to lack something.

But it was after they had eaten of it that there eyes became clear and open to the Truth that they didn't lack anything prior to that as the devil had made them believe. But it was only after they succumbed to his temptation and disobeyed God that they actually lost something.

But by the time they realized it, it was too late to take that back. So they were filled with regret and shame as they realized that they had been deceived by the devil. Gen 3:8, 12-13.

So do not fall for the devil's lies which he often spreads through his own as he did with the serpent in the beginning, because that's the only way you could be able to exercise dominion over the devil and his works as Jesus did. The devil knows this very well, that's why he wants to get you to sin by all means, so that you'd lose that right over him. He knows that once you sin and lose that right, you become vulnerable to his devices because sin gives him the access to do damage to your life. John 5:14

The reason Jesus was able to exercise so much authority and dominion over the devil and his works, was because He overcame the devil's temptations, so the devil found nothing of his own (sin) in Jesus to use against Him. John 14:30, Luke 11:22.

But imagine if the devil had found something of his own (sin) in Jesus as he did in Adam who had fallen into the devil's temptation in the beginning, Jesus wouldn't be much different from Adam who wasn't able to exercise such extent of authority and dominion over the devil, because sin makes a man to become the servant of Satan. John 8:34

But Jesus was so confident because He had overcome the temptation of the devil, and hence made the power of the devil to be of no effect in His life.

That's what you stand to lose if you believe the lies you're being told about fornication and masturbation, and consequently sin against God.

This was how Jesus was able to overcome temptation.

He said:

"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26:41

And when the devil came to tempt Him to eat while He fasted, He answered and said:

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4

So Jesus overcame the temptation of the devil by prayer and fasting.

That gave Him the power to exercise complete authority and dominion over Satan, so when there was a devil that His disciples were not able to cast out, once Jesus rebuked him, that same devil departed that very moment.

And Jesus gave the reason why He was able to cast out the same devil his disciples couldn't cast out. It was because:

"This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting." Mark 9:29

In other words this kind cannot come out but by prayer and fasting which makes someone to become an overcomer of temptation.

Therefore if you want to be able to do likewise, you need to become likewise.

Pray and fast and don't stop until you become an overcomer and begin to walk in the authority and dominion over the devil that God intended for man when He first created him in the beginning.
