Lol.... Don't go close to water, don't give your car to road side mechanic.
If it mistakenly brakes down, sorry no road side mechanic can fix it and be ready to tow it.
All the parts are X2 and u can only buy it at ladipo or ojuelegba, not even the brake pads.

If the negative statements about Chevy is specific like the tie rod failures in Honda then I can say they may have a point, but being general usually means the faults of Chevy is hearsay.

If car owners take time to educate themselves a little better than the road side mechanic then a lot of things will make sense

I have been having common brake issue with no one to fix it for the past 2 weeks


I don hear we need to change this, we need to change that from several mechanics , yet after 2 days am back with to same wahala.


Brake will just fall in and not catching well, that's if one electrical part of the car is not malfunctioning oh.


In the last 2 weeks

I have changed the shifor.

I have done one boycotting that was causing overheating according to the mechanic.

Plus other Shaku Shaku repairs.

Only brakes and failed electrical parts... You're just starting oooo. Soon pple will be asking if you're sick cos all ur blood and money will finish on that car.

I just listed my symptoms.

Answer these questions.

Where is the level of your brake fluid in the reservoir.

What is the color and did anyone top it off and is the inner rubber on the reservoir cap swollen.

Did anyone replace brake pads and how much material is left on your brakes.

Is your car leaking break fluid or did anyone bleed your brake lines.

Have whoever worked on it to tell you the answer to these questions.

Remind me what model and year is the car.

I have reservations for most American cars. Be it Ford, Chevy, etc

The only good thing about the car is fuel economy.
Every other thing is FUFU.

Very problematic car and the part is not common.

I ring the engine in 2019 and by 2021, the engine is smoking badly.

Stay away from Chevrolet especially Aveo. Run no look back except you are a mechanic and you have money.

You ringed the engine not because it is bad after 5 years of use but you did not maintain it properly with the right type of engine oil. You would have had the same problem with a corolla

It is obvious you do not have the first-hand experience, that is why you are saying I didn't maintain with the right engine oil. Is mobile one too poor?

That car is demonic that will put holes inside your pocket.

Other people that own the car that I know have similar experiences.

In fact, just search for "Chevrolet Aveo" on Nairaland or just "Chevrolet" to see other people's experiences.

As a young man, I tried my best in terms of maintenance. My friend that knew when I bought it thought after 2 years I would have abandoned it.

Everything about the engine of the car and even the car as a whole is designed to fail except the fuel economy.

Once the engine is getting deteriorated, the fuel consumption gets worse.

If you haven't owned the car for at least a year, please don't say anything.
