Same with graduates from other universities, do you think Nigeria would still be better under a southerner? 90% of Nigerians are all the same, myopic, corrupt, tribal and religious bigots.
Na lie don't be deceived

The best president's Nigeria have ever had still remains obj/gej

The north is cursed just like it's leaders, they don't value lives, they don't see life beyond the cult pyramid of islam

Keep on deceiving yourself, the best president Nigeria ever had (and might ever have) is Yaradua, Jonathan and obj were just useless thieves who looted Nigeria dry, worse part is this current administration is just burying Nigeria's corpse.

Leave am, how can a sane person call obj and gej Nigeria's best presidents, I can hardly see a difference between them and this current crop of criminals.

He never completed a single tenure to warrant basics for assessment.

Btw Yar adua was stampeded to power by obj, obj did so thinking he was too weak and would be under his control.

Obj never allowed the traditional northern power men get the seat for a reason

Outside this, any Northerner you see in power is because he is a strong Northerner, and those strong Northerners are jihadists and Terrorists who are only strong because they are part of the elites making the north what it is.

Religious extremists

Terrorists apologists

Keep the north uneducated

Maintain quota statos quo

North vs south philosophy

Subjugate the people

Keep them under your dictate with poverty

Control south resources for Northerner good

British handed us power and it must remain so

These are the principles guiding the powerful Northerner elitists who are controlling powers

Explain the intention behind this news. Now a lot of people would take this up. Another ethnic tribal wahala. What media cause with their news is worse than the negative effects of Boko Haram, ISWAP, IPOB etc
Re: About One-Third Of Nigeria’s Ministers Attended Same University by omohayek: 9:52am On Mar 15, 2021
I'm glad to see that most commenters see through this weak propaganda. There's nothing noteworthy about the fact that so many ministers attended ABU, as Nigeria's "quota system" politics guarantees that northerners will dominate the ministerial positions, and for northerners above a certain age, ABU was the only university they had any realistic chance of attending. All this story tells us is that the north has always had a huge educational disadvantage at all levels from primary school to university.

As far as record is concerned Yar adua didn't complete the definite four years he was inugurated for and as such his tenure can not be compared with other president who are judged after their tenure expiration

You make a big point. It doesn't make sense to go abroad, spend millions of naira in foreign currency only to come back and come with home based graduates for Government jobs. sad Foreign graduates should be bringing something different to the table to set themselves apart from others. Otherwise, your degree is a waste of resources. We have too many certificate holders and not enough critical thinkers.
SmartPolician:
We pay too much attention to certificates in this country with less emphasis on creativity.

Someone once said something that snagged my attention: Why do Nigerians study outside the country, make a first class and still return to Nigeria to take up the few government jobs?

Why not show your creativity by establishing your startups? After all, someone who can afford to travel out to get a foreign degree is not broke.

Suprisingly 90% of de ABU graduates are all Muslims.
Oop Muslims are most intelligent within the nepotistic thinking.

The other non Muslims get their ministerial jobs abroad.

Maybe it's not a about the ministers but the people who selected them. putting A round peg in a square hole

I would imagine when looking for who to fill ministerial and other appointive positions (esp' the significant and critical ones that have to do with weilding power and distributing funds, projects, ect), Buhari and his core kitchen cabinet would sit down with their list of 1st and 2nd class muslim graduates from ABU, and make their choice from there! Any wonder Nigeria is the shithole it is today?

Fucking, nepotistic bigots!

Where is that guy that said Nairaland has the highest number of stupid people per square metre in the world?? You are right bro.

Look at those illiterates up there insulting the schools. The schools are not the problem. Bankole, the former House of Rep leader spent almost all his life in the U.S, and schooled there. Dude came back and became one of the highest thief. It has nothing to do with school, its highly dependent on the individual.

No surprises here,

The largest University south of the Sahara and North of the Limpopo is NATURALLY AHEAD.

The only University that it doesn't matter where you come from, you will find your townsperson as either a student or a staff.

Only those that went there know what's up.

I agree with ALL of these 100%.

ABU Zaria is the MOST COSMOPOLITAN UNIVERSITY IN NIGERIA; every part of the country is represented, via staff (academic and non-academic), students, and administrators.

I saw a solid mix of Muslims and Christians, almost all Nigerian tribes, foreigners, etc.

You needed to have been educated there to know!

I was admitted there 29 years ago, in 1992. It was a mini-Nigeria, in that era, and even now, as far as I am aware.

Is Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy Agba not from Cross Rivers again?
Is Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, not from Oyo State ?

Are they Northerners too?
Outside those two can you mention any other non northerner

One is given an inconsequential minister of State to an almajiri

The other is a minister of youth which buhari sees as lazy and inconsequential

Abu zaria is in Kaduna State.

Kaduna is the state in core north with highest number of non northerners (Sabo Gari and a full southern Kaduna block)

Kaduna happens to be the elite state in the north where fg pumps quota resources to for northern region.

It's no brainer if you find all manner of the children of the residents of this state attending the biggest University in the state
