I have this hp compaq 6510b notebook that I'm managing and I think I've spoilt it.

What happened: the power adapter was faulty but I was managing it until it stopped working, I then did a stupid thing, I cut the power adapter input to laptop wire and joined it to another wire and plugged it directly to the laptop my assumption was that it would power it on.....but the shit blown nd I immediately removed the wire...the laptop has been packed in one corner for months and I'm a bit skeptical about the cost of repairing the laptop.

What could be wrong with my laptop pls? It will show plugged in whenever a charger is plugged to it but won't charge. It all started this afternoon, I shut down then remove the battery for 15minutes....it started charging after all that. Most of the time it is a motherboard issue, so I'll suggest you see a laptop technician.
If you have another charger use it and see or check with another battery if problem persist then it is motherboard issue.

If you're in lag I can check it for you.

I've been trying to install windows for the past two days on my dell latitude laptop, but the system doesn't want to boot the windows from the USB.
I've gone to bios settings to change the boot order, and still it keeps trying to boot from the hard drive.

any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

please guys, my laptop freezes anytime am browsing and also when I stop browsing, the freezing will be intense, the trackpad/mouse will stop working. Sometimes I will have to shut it down using the power button then restart it again. please what can I do.

4gb Ram
500gb disk space with more than 50% not used.
windows 10.
Intel Celeron.
I only have few softwares installed. just chrome browser, vs code for coding, internet download manager and Mozilla Firefox.

1. The cpu could be throttling due to over heating but if they happens it will shutdown after a while.
2. Virus could also do that

Go to device manager, click on the display adapter, right click on the mircrosoft driver and click on update automatically, make sure your data is on.

What can i do? I use a HP Probook 420G and i put it to sleep. When i got home, i tried putting it on and it didn't work, i decided to take out the battery and then plug it to a power source and since then anytime i plug in the power cable, the power light and capslock only stay on (they are not blinking and the fan isn't working) without any form of display. I don't know what to do. I've tried replacing the RAM but that didn't work too. The BIOS reset as well as hard reset didn't work too

This was after my colleague tried my charger on her HP laptop. Could it be that her HP laptop has damaged my laptop charger? pls I need help

There’s no double cell for this, Buh the replacement should cost between 7-8k
