The management of Covenant University has sacked Dr. Stephen Ukenna, a lecturer that was arrested for allegedly raping a 17 year old student in his office, IgbereTV reports.

Dr. Ukenna was a lecturer in the Department of Business Management at the Covenant University before he was arrested for “forcefully having unlawful carnal knowledge of the student.”

It was earlier reported that he was nabbed on March 11, after a complaint was lodged at Ota Area Command by the parents of the victim.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed in a statement that the victim called her parents on phone from the school that she was invited by the lecturer to his office on the said date under the pretense that he wanted to plan a surprise birthday party for her close friend.

“But on getting to the lecture’s office, he locked the office door and forcefully had sex with her on top of the table in his office.

Upon the report, the Area Commander Ota, Acp Muyideen Obe swiftly deployed his JWC team to the school where the randy lecturer was promptly arrested.

On interrogation, the suspect admitted having carnal knowledge of the victim, but was unable to give any reason for his action.” the statement read.

The lecturer has been dismissed with immediate effect as approved by the Chancellor and President of the University’s board, Bishop David Oyedepo.

An Alumnus of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Nigeria with a Doctor of Philosophy in Marketing, the suspect was employed in the University in 2017 as a lecturer in the Department of Marketing.

What happened in convenant university is what has been going on in federal and state universities and alot of the girls keep quiet and succumb to threats.

I know this cause I have seen something like this happen before in a federal university.

Lecturer called a girl to her office locked her in and tried to have sex with her, how they do it they tell the course rep to call you.

Lecturer don pull trouser finish the girl was struggling with him so he chased her away and vowed to deal with her, exam time he kept her in a special seat and was hoping she would turn. Accused her and minused 50 marks from her.

I can't remember how the matter ended cause the girl was in a lower level.

In foreign countries the parents of this convenant university student can sue convenant university a hefty sum, u can't be paying that kind huge school fees and them still get mind rape your daughter, if na me na #100million I go sue the uni
