Thoughty2:See the way Chinese government operates. The worry of Nigerians is not paying these taxes, but it's shown severally that these taxes aren't ever used. One person will have guts to embezzle billions of naira and get a slap on the wrist in court. You can't do that in China. They'll send you to Jesus. If political positions are made less glamorous and accountability is held high with serious capital punishment for corruption, all those politicians "fighting" for you will never contest. If politicians can send assassins to end opposition during campaigns, you think you'll be in their interests when they enter office? Dey play my fans |
Business / Re: Banks To Charge Nigerians For Cybersecurity Levy on Transactions by PotatoSalad(m): 6:20am On May 07 |
Wait o. 1. Electronic transfer levy. 2. 35 naira per transaction after 3 withdrawals in a month. (Remember that all banks have programmed their ATMs to dispense only 10,000 naira max. So if you need more, you have no choice than to collect the 35 naira charge) 3. Card Maintenance 4. SMS charges Now this Businesses are now going to factor these charges in their prices. You already know what that means helinues: You will heal. helinues: This boy is an idiot. In the UK, nobody has time to queue in bank halls anymore. Banking is advancing fast. Innovate or die. 37 Likes 2 Shares |

Health / Re: Reasons Why People Die Young by PotatoSalad(m): 3:46pm On May 06 |
No mention of Hypertension? That should top the list. 1 in every 5 young Nigerian is hypertensive. And if the young man or woman was doing well before dying suddenly, it's spiritual. I've measured BP of friends that visited and complained of one type of headache or another. Especially those Forex boys. And when they see 174/120, they be like "hmm I didn't know o". Check your BP today. Hypertension no dey show for face. Randal:Talk truth. When was the last time you did a full checkup? wizrose:When you say "close to GOD", what kind of relationship did you imply? Religious or Spiritual? Cos basically what most Nigerians practice is the former. Which is why a Nigerian would bind and cast all night, just to go ahead and cheat his neighbour the next morning. Is that the kind of lifestyle that gives long life? 17 Likes 8 Shares |
Politics / Re: A Coastal Highway Of Misplaced Priority & Abuse Of Due Process - Premium Times by PotatoSalad(m): 8:26am On May 06 |
Topman7:I have nothing against the road but I'll bet my two nuts that it won't be completed in 8 years. You know what's 700km? Common Enugu onitsha expressway that's just 2 lanes and less than 100km, has been under construction before I wrote JSSCE in 2007. And it's no where near completion 17 years later! No street lights o, no drainage. Just complete the two lanes first. 1 Like |

ibietela2:Are you in the US? You could watch out for discounts. Bought my AX73 for $150 and just saw it's $146 now. Forgot to add that the AX73, although a better router, has most of its parental control features locked behind a paywall. A dick move. The AX23's own is free. Maybe because it's US vs EU versions. Anybody else here that uses a US version TP Link router should confirm if it's same as theirs. |

BodyCount:Save your dollars and keep only money you need for day to day runs in naira. I said something about the naira appreciating two weeks ago as CBN abracadabra, some people came for my head. No country's currency increases in value without production, investment and export. Naira will go to 2k and beyond. It's not even a prayer cos everyone is affected one another. But keeping your money in USD gives you an upper hand. 1 Like |
