Was it not a few days ago that the Vice President said they are reviewing options with regard to currency (aka devaluation)? Buhari has an integrity to protect (I would think he does), the international scrutiny, local and domestic pressure will sure force him to react whether positive or negative. Oil without buyers, is useless. If not for past Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba leaders negotiating for contracts and concessions, how much Delta oil would have been bought by the West? The last time I checked, the only people who frown at regionalism or resource control are the NW and NE, try to get your facts right please. Also it would be nice if we stop mixing political preferences with tribal affiliations and so on. That someone supports a particular political candidate does not mean the person must be from a particular tribe or region; that someone also does not support economic sabotage which will simply impoverish people and destroy the environment, that does not automatically mean the person is from any particular tribe or region, neither does it also mean the person does not support regionalism or resource control, let's stop getting these things twisted.

If the oil industry goes down, millions would be impoverished because all zones of Nigeria (every single zone) feeds on only oil. The evidence on the economy from the drop in oil prices is still very fresh on our minds. This is a very bad arrangement especially as Nigeria should have no business relying on only niger delta oil, but this is unfortunately the situation we have even in 2016. By blowing things up and killing the industry, the so called rich who we think we punish will not feel the impact one bit, the victims would still be the middle and lower class of society. It would be a very serious pestilence, we should be wary of the kind of things we tacitly support (for whatever reason).
