TravelLagos VS Abuja Which Is Better Overall. by Premiumbuy(op): 11:37pm On Aug 07, 2024
Premium be unto you

Hi Landers, I'm sure it's no longer news, and we all agree that Lagos is better than Abuja. Forget about hearsay Lagos is full of opportunities, I mean a lot of opportunities. From road infrastructure to good healthcare facilities and the social life of the state, one would need to publish a book to cover all the good things Lagos has to offer, not just for the people in it but for the nation as a whole. I am here to present reasons why Lagos is much better than Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.
Starting with Lagos, though people often say that Lagos is full of traffic including weekends, of course there are many options available to overcome it. You can choose from the popular Danfo (yellow buses), BRT, Okada (motorcycles), trains, and so on. Unlike Lagos, where the yellow buses are common, people in Abuja mostly use e-hailing services or taxis, which they book through their phones or flag down on the road. While Abuja does have something similar to Lagos's yellow buses, they are not as common and do not cover the entire city, which poses a challenge for those who travel along those routes. You know, Okadas are common in Lagos, especially for navigating between streets and beating traffic. However, in Abuja, they face restrictions for safety reasons, which also limits their availability, making those that are available more expensive.
When considering career opportunities, Lagos should be the first thing that comes to your mind. It's a known fact that Lagos has a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, making it the nation's commercial capital. You may have heard that Lagos is a no man's land (which is not true), but it attracts people from different tribes who come to settle down and create wealth. Apart from the fact that Abuja is the capital city of Nigeria and home to various government agencies and international organizations, which may make it easier for degree holders to get employed, an entrepreneur contemplating where to start a business would find Lagos to be the best decision especially those in the real estate sector. Its population creates a more attractive market for businesses, reaching a diverse set of customers, thereby creating opportunities for growth.
In summary, if you are to consider which state is better between the two, it’s clear that Lagos always comes first. Let me hear your opinion, though.

I just tried to buy slice bread here in Anthony/Ikeja and was told Its 2,000 naira! I bought this same bread for 800 naira this year

How much is a loaf of bread in your Area, or bread is now for the rich too in Nigeria?
Premium Be Unto You

Honestly, the same bread that was sold for 700/800 last year is now 1600 here, in as much as the protest has some hidden agenda, I think we still need to call out our government for the sheet they are doing.

I don't think there is any alternative to anything. If it is not gaari, it can't be gaari. From my observation on the above food, it will be too light that once you pee two times your stomach becomes empty.

Nice innovation sha but like I said, gaari will always be above other alternative

Rightly said, if it is not Garri it can't be something else, trying to imagine how the Cabbage Fufu would taste like, tueh.

Quick question: Is the theme supposed to be "no lose guard" as in be cautious and don't trust anyone, or "no loose guard" as in don't be a blabbermouth and keep your mouth shut? It's driving me crazy that I see "loose" but they keep saying "lose".
Premium Be Unto You
When I heard Ebuka saying "No loose guard" I was like okay this is the kind of theme I've been expecting, until I saw the spelling which got me confused like what do they mean.

FoodRe: Where Did Yam Go? by Premiumbuy(m): 7:41pm On Jul 18, 2024
Pastoshizzy:
I remember the good times in this country. Days of kobo (coins). Even as a Lagosian there was no time of the year we didn't eat my family's favourite food- Yam.
If my mum buys yam, the amount she cooks and the way boils it would give me a foresight if we were going to eat it with fried eggs, fish sauce, butter or (when prayer don answer) pounded yam. The way we were brought up, you aren't meant to ask your mum what she's going to cook... especially if we have a case we are being reprimanded for (a family of four boys, so we get a lot of those).

My wife know say I no dey mess with my stomach.
Yam..the very food. In the least Yam and palm oil with salt to taste are happily wedded in an African stomach. I speak for the majority.
We dey chop! But not like before.
But Yam. Where Yam dey abeg?... to cut this torey short. Where are all my 'aboki' yam sellers?
Premium Be Unto You

If Yam is too expensive, then go for Potato that's a bit cheaper.

It has never been this bad, people can’t afford a full loaf of bread anymore.

Yam tubers are now shared for people to be able to eat it.

Even Pasta (Spaghetti) is now a luxury.

Yet, we are using an huge chunk of our resources on building residences and acquiring private jets.
