You had Assessment Centre exercise in March? Wow! I didn't know some people were called for it. I was only asked to come for documentation on 9th March if I can remember clearly. I've been waiting for AC since then.
Please, what was it like if you don't mind?

Hello, For some of us who were invited and completed the Assessment centre exercise in March(16-20) this year. Has anyone be contacted by KPMG for the final stage which is Partner Interview?? I haven’t gotten any email yet, though I messaged them around June, they said they would reach out until the pandemic is over

SKILL VS CERTIFICATE; Which One Will Give You An Edge?

There is no point comparing certificate and skill because
they are supposed to complement each other.
The big question is, will your certificate be relevant without the relevant skill?
The answer is CAPITAL NO.

If certificate seems irrelevant without the right skills,
do you still want to wait after you graduate before
you acquire the necessary skill ?

Other countries are already preparing to meet up
with this workplace requirements,
China converted about 600 universities to Polytechnic
so as to reduce too much academic theory that doesn't guarantee jobs.
They want their polytechnics to focus on Engineering and
technology and technical courses.

The workplace in Nigeria is already aligning with this reality too.
Just check recent vacancies to see the requirement that are compulsory.
I have seen a lot of vacancies for Accountant and
they stated that the knowledge of Microsoft Excel is compulsory
while being a Chartered Accountant is just an added advantage.

Just google “Accounting vacancies in Nigeria ”, to confirm my claims.

No company is depending on the knowledge of academic theories to
employ graduates, your skill is what we stand you out.
The workplace is changing and you need to adapt fast.

P.S: I am not saying that your certificate is IRRELEVANT,
it is actually very RELEVANT but acquiring a SKILL
will give you edge in the labour market.

17k is for the old passport, 25k is for the new enhanced passport which is only available at Ikoyi and Alausa offices for now. Click the option for the new enhanced passport on their site.

Ok, Thanks. I am planning on applying over the weekend since the lockdown will be lifted by Monday 4th. The price is seeing on the page is 17k - 32 pages (17650 Naira precisely i.e plus bank charges), somewhere above someone said that was the old price and should be avoided, there is no other price stated otherwise on their website. I'm kinda confused. Anyone to throw more light.

PS: It's my first Application, not renewal
TravelRe: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by PremiumTrends(m): 9:14pm On Apr 24, 2020
I really don't know about this, but if the option is available on the site, then it means it's possible. Mine was 32 pages, first time.

You need to confirm if their offices are open and if they're doing capturing. It would be sad to pay online now and wait till further notice before you can capture

I'm thinking about applying now amidst the lockdown, would this be okay?

The supposed exam candidate and registrant can't communicate in English. Both of you (we all know it's one person) should use the money you've saved up so far from your schemes and register for adult evening school, then look for legit jobs to do.

One man was shouting and threatening over the phone to beat an officer when he returns on Monday. Apparently, the officer didn't show up to facilitate the man's process to collect his passport. The man said he paid the officer 100k for 32 pages. I'm guessing it's the 10years passport. The man still waited with us till past 3pm before they attended to him, and trust me when I say he arrived around past 9am.
TravelRe: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by PremiumTrends(m): 6:56pm On Mar 20, 2020
Hello house!
I collected my passport today. Captured on the 9th of March. Collection date was for 12th, but I gave them a week to do away with whatever madness the devil wanted to deposit in them. I decided to go today cause Federal parastatals might go on break amidst this pandemic.
I got to Ikoyi by 10am, immediately dropped my slip in the basket after making a copy. I waited for about 6hours (4:30pm) before I could get my passport. It was already past 3pm and some officers were already closing for the day, before they came out to attend to people without connect. They just had to let us in and looked for our passports, after they had attended to the people that paid them (their clients) all through the morning and early afternoon.
It was a stressful process but I didn't regret the DIY process cause some people that paid some officers actually had issues. My advice is DIY and be patient to see it through. It works!

Is there a dress code for Documentation? Anyone? Please
TravelRe: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by PremiumTrends(m): 4:31pm On Mar 09, 2020
I captured today at Ikoyi. It was frustrating, as they ignored people with brown files and were just attending to those that did express service, but the funny thing is, they also had to que. God was on my side today, as we were just 3 self processing applicants on a long queue of over 60+ express applicants. The officers tried ignoring us, but God came through for us. My pick up date states 12th, but I'll just wait till next week instead.

My advice: DIY, cause if you pay the 40-45k, you'll still end up staying on a queue for hours, as there are many officers bringing their own people. So why not save the extra 15k, Nigeria is hard enough these days.

I believe the statement earlier depicted "a health insurance scheme that works". I've lost someone earlier in life because of the so called "working health insurance scheme", hence my opinion on the case. On whose part does ignorance fall now?
Mizwisdom:
Agreed. But the information being given out here is completely false. The person I quoted was saying we didn't have health insurance. I think many people are simply ignorant, that's why they are complaining in the first place
