PoliticsBreaking News: Fayose **** Should Have Their Heads Examine-oyegun by Presdentgeneral(op): 8:26am On Apr 18, 2016
By Simon Ebegbulem BENIN—NATIONAL Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, weekend, defended President Muhammadu Buhari’s foreign trips, saying that people like Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State and other critics of the president over his foreign trips need their heads examined. Saying that Fayose was ignorant of the problems confronting the nation and the solutions to them, he insisted that President Buhari was on the verge of restoring the nation’s lost glory outside the country, noting that the President’s foreign trips had gone a long way in helping to save the nation after what he described as Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s most disastrous outing in 16 years. Speaking to journalists in Benin City, Edo State, Oyegun noted that the forces of darkness and economic saboteurs opposed to the nation’s growth and development were bent on frustrating the efforts of the APC-led administration under Buhari in his efforts at rescuing the nation from the ongoing fuel crisis and revitalizing the ailing economy. Governor Fayose had last week allegedly written a letter to the Chinese government asking it to shun President Buhari’s proposal to secure a $6 billion loan for Nigeria. But Oyegun, who reacted to the criticisms, said: “Most people do not recognise the very sorry state of the nation’s economy and the fact that the country’s economy was run aground and crashed, which contributed in no small measure to the crash of crude oil from N120 per barrel to a miserable N30 to N40 per barrel at the international market.”

PoliticsBreaking NEWS: PDP Disown Raymond Dokpesi by Presdentgeneral(op): 9:36am On Dec 22, 2015
As son of Dr Raymond Dokpesi got married in Abuja on Saturday, political allies of the embattled Chairman of the Africa Independent Television (AIT) were found wanting in attendance. The wedding of Williams Dokpesi to his heartthrob, Diane at Emerald Park and Recreation, Area 3, Abuja, which would have would have been a jamboree of some sort were the AIT Chairman not to have found himself in troubled waters, turned out to be scanty and was attended by few friends and family members. Neither the church service nor the wedding reception was attended by any of his political friends or popular faces in the Nigerian polity. Photos from the event showed that the wedding fell short of expectations, as the venues were deserted. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a popular figure in the national polity, said the troubled Daar Communications owner got shunned because of his ongoing battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to him, the wedding would have become the talk of town but for the recent scandal which none of his politician friends want to get associated with. “It’s a pity that all his politician friends have left him at the most trying times. Nobody wants to associate with him because of his EFCC trouble. We all know that anyone who attends or appears in the photos, might be picked up on by EFCC as an accomplice in the ongoing probe. It’s better to be safe,” he said. The EFCC arrested Chief Dokpesi in connection with money disbursed from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. Dokpesi was later docked before the Federal High Court in Abuja where he is answering to a 6-count criminal charge that was preferred against him by EFCC.

He was arraigned before trial Justice Gabriel Kolawole along with his firm, Daar Investment and Holdings Ltd. The anti-graft agency alleged that he received about N2.1billion from the office of the National Security Adviser between October 2014 and March 19, 2015, specifically for PDP’s presidential media campaign. The prosecution maintained that the transaction was in breach of provisions of the Public Procurement Act, Money laundering Act and the EFCC Act. Meanwhile, Dokpesi pleaded not guilty to the entire 6-count charge. Justice Kolawole has however fixed February 17, 18 and March 2 and 3, to commence full-blown hearing on the case

PoliticsI Weep For Our Democracy by Presdentgeneral(op): 7:35am On Dec 21, 2015
I saw in the last Saturday election conducted in Ekiti state where a candidate of PDP pull less than one thousand in almost four local government to defeat other five political parties, people refused to come out because they don't trust their governor, I was there live where it was agreed unanimously to add more figure because it was not up to 0.2% of register voters. Does this man called governor has gods to talk in public on the ground that less one thousand trust him in a local governor. I feel pain in my bone and cry for our nascent democracy.
