Hmmm. The worst pregnancy scare of my life!

I'm so not doing this anymore. I can't deal mhen! I died a thousand and one times. Dear af, why did you treat me like this?
I bursted into tears when I still woke up dry today. Hubs was disgusted and left for work while I was still crying. I couldn't even say why.

I called a pharmacist friend to tell me my options. No, I just told him to tell me the name of the drug I should buy and use. That one was just preaching. I wasn't even listening. He then told me that I wanted to do something stupid, what if I died and left my child motherless? Do I want another woman to maltreat my baby? Fresh bouts of tears. Sobs, no wails. All the while, I had not yet tested o I was too scared.

Gradually I mustered courage to do the home test with salt. I had to rewatch the video on YouTube to compare results. Hope started coming smoh smoh when my result looked like their negative result. I gathered courage to go buy test strip.

I didn't even have to use it. The ugly witch, sorry, no, pretty princess made her grand entrance without any apologies

I've cried my eyes out to last me a lifetime. My head aches so bad. I saw my plans to try vbac go up in flames. My career pursuit nko? I saw my life practically come to a halt. I personally think I was pregnant but God just pitied me and let it flow out

Ah, my village people came really loaded this time, but God still pass them.

Thanks to all who prayed for me oh, thank you.

And to those pursuing me to preggy thread, God pass all of una!

But this is the last straw. I'm so donbe. So so done! I'm turning celibate.

You can also visit the nearest PHC to you on their FP clinic days, the nurses there should be able to guide you

But the way DH, is going I will not even make it to 5 months
What contraceptive method would you advice cos MIL said I should not take injection??

It could be impetigo... Read it up and treat by just stepping up hygiene levels at home . You may not even need hospital at the end of the day

Clean the outer ear only! Don't put cotton bud inside your baby ears o.


The smell might me bathing water in the ear? Or something else. I'd suggest you take him to doctor for proper check.

I have a couple of questions I need to ask
1. How long does it take for the navel to heal completely? ( it fell off at 8 days)
2. My MIL suggested that we give the boy grapewater for his stomach.has anyone tried it? Or what else works?
3.it seems as if he doesn't get satisfied with just breastmilk and water. Can he start with ogi baba at 2 months plus?

Good evening people .I am new on this thread. I birthed my LO on Saturday 21st July . I am a FTM so I am very open to new learnings on here.

Weeks Pregnant: 39.4
Baby's Weight: 3.7
Baby's Length: not sure
Birth story: got to the hospital by 10am on Friday morning.. Without any contractions .I had already made up my mind to get an induction since my maternity leave ha started counting since Monday. The doc was reluctant because I wasnt 40 weeks yet. Hubby spoke on my behalf that we will be induced knowing the risks as well
At past 11, I was given two table spoon full of castor oil which didn't have any effect
By 1pm, folley bulb catheter was inserted cos I was 0cm dilated. It had to fall off on its own to indicate dilated to 3-4cm
It fell done minutes before 9pm finally after going up and down the stairs and walking the hallways. I felt happy that there was progress.
The contractions were coming but not so strong.
I manage to sleep around past 12am till dawn.woke up, feeling nothing
The doc came at 1pm on Saturday, asking when the catheter fell the previous day, I told him
He then check my cervix and said I was over 4cm dilated. I felt happy once more.
He instructed that I should be given cytotec as well as one injection on my thigh
After those two, about 30mins later the contractions began say about 4-5mins apart lasting for 40-50seconds.
I said this is the real thing
I was there oo till 6pm ..then I started seeing stars. They were coming at 2mins (or less) intervals
The doc came a gain to check my cervix
That check felt like hell..he said I was almost 10cm and asked for pitocin to be given
I thought I was going to loose my mind.
At past 9, I was assisted to the delivery room
Few minutes before 10pm, my son came out
Without any tear
Am so in love

Mama's that have welcomed their LO, congrats. Try and do your sitzbath religiously and also take the drugs given to you. Take vit c and fruits rich in vit c.
Please don't allow anything to bother you no matter what to avoid PPD
