Actually my engine didn't knocked but this is the culprit of my engine
- White smoke each time am drivinhg my car
- Each time I travelled a long distance,oil shortage
- Rough idling and until recently black smoke and unable to drive up to 80 km/hr.
I started exeprience this when I washed the engine of my car followed by overheating of the engine. Before this time the car was in good condition

I went to the part market in kd, the price for belgium engine is N75,000 with one wk gurantee but funny enogh all the engine I saw were just like trash.visual wise my engine is more neat than those engine and having a thinking of rebuilding my engine cos still in fair condition.

When it comes to engine replacement, I think Lagos is the best place to shop. No compromise. You will get the best prices in Lagos with warranty. Getting it elsewhere will be a huge risk considering the role an engine plays in your vehicle. I had to get a replacement for my engine after it failed due to a spurious mechanical error. I took to advice from the experts here, Siena and Gazzuzz
( God bless those guys, they are brilliant engineers). I bought the 2AZ engine at Ladipo for 160k. After installation, the new engine was even quieter than the one that came with the car.

I don't think a 1MZ will cost as much as 150k. If you need the parts dealer no I can oblige you. Don't source your replacement engine from anywhere else apart from Lagos! Not because of price alone but Quality.

GAZZUZZ: Go to one of the ware house in ladipo with "a different mechanic" price of a 1mz for avalon is between 65-75k. It was 65k last year, I don't think the price has changed much

Car have started overheating this afternoon and erratic gear change

lomomike: Water entered places it shouldn't. Open the MAF compartment, take out the filter to dry, also, hope water hasn't entered the spark plug compartment, injector compartment and other sensitive areas. Open the bonnet and let the water dry off.

Please my good country people !!!! My car is avalon 99 model and no cheeck engine.The was not used for a week wiout out known issues with the engine,I tried to kick the car this morng and no response and a mecho man was contacted to checck. After a lot of cranking,we observed that petrol was mixed with the engine oil still no result. What could be the culprit and what can be done to rectfy the situation? Thank you
