I don't think so. I am on ground and can tell you first hand, our languages are not dying. Younger people can speak English and pidgin to feel woke, but slide back to local languages as soon as they are getting old. It's an identity thing. I was in the village for xmas, my language and all its idioms and proverbs are still dominant.
