Car Talk / Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Prestige324: 5:10pm On Apr 30, 2021
Ikenna, I have a peugeot 307 sw stick shift. The problem is that I'm new to driving, I'm not very good at driving manual cars and I feel like to convert it to automatic. Do you think I should go ahead and convert it to automatic? Will there be any side effects? The car is fine, doesn't have any issues.
Education / JAMB Is Not Changing Their Mind Over The Eligibility Policy. See Statement Below by Prestige324: 11:14pm On Jul 28, 2015
If you meet the cutoff point set by JAMB (180) but you are rejected by your university of 1st choice, JAMB will redirect you to another school for which you meet their admissions criteria.

For instance many students which had 180 as their jamb score were rejected by unilag because their cutoff was set much higher.
We spoke to a jamb official to get their position on this issue and were told this action was taken in the best interest of candidates. He went on to say that the action will minimize the number of candidate who will not be able to get admission to higher institution since in a typical year many schools end up with unfilled seats while others have more students than they can accommodate. This policy change will result in fewer students waiting for an extra year.
When asked what option a student has if he or she isn’t willing or able to attend the school select for them by JAMB, the official said the student will have to.......

Jamb is not changing their mind over the new eligibility policy.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), last week announced a new eligibility policy governing what happens whenever you are not allowed to participate in post UTME of your school of choice because you do not meet the cutoff point set by the school. If you meet the cutoff point set by JAMB (180) but you are rejected by your university of 1st choice, JAMB will redirect you to another school for which you meet their admissions criteria...... Literature / Sold Into Slavery By The Father by Prestige324: 1:16pm On Jul 28, 2015
It happened that Onwueme Okereke was born to the family of three. During those days, pregnancy was quite hard for his mother. She had several miscarriage. Majority of the ones she gave birth to died without being sick. Among the three surviving children she had. Onwueme was the last. His elder brother got married when Onwueme was twenty three years old. Their only sister Obiaranamma was the first to get married. Later, it happened that there was no money to cater for the expenses, pay the bills and eat. Amandianaeze the father in law of Obiaranamma made arrangement with the slave traders. If Mma as she was called was aware of what her father in law was planning, she could have done something to prevent the idea. It became too late for her to do anything because her father in law had made up his mind. Ikeogu, Mma’s husband had no idea of the pathetic idea his father had made. And even if he knew, he still would not do anything about it, as his father was a strong man that always stand by his words. He was a difficult man and not easy to deceive. He had told Ikeogu the great danger facing him if he were to say no. He would be stripped off of every inheritance that should go to him.

After much payments, Amandianaeze handed Ikeogu over to them. Mma was helpless, she had no one to run to. It was unbearable for her. Amandianaeze cared less, yet protected Mma against all odds. He believed that Ikeogu had nothing to loose. He already had a family, of cause his name will not be forgotten.

Ikeogu suffered in the hands of the slave traders. They were engulfed with chains on their neck and legs. Unclad, they wore something that covered their private parts. They received a very tough beating of their lives. As they was dragged, they cried out for mercy. Ikeogu had earlier planned to escape, he was going to process it when all the guards fell asleep.

At midnight, he loosed himself from the chains and ran away like a man running a three hundred metre race. He was pursued immediately by the guards. He ran hysterically through the valley of darkness. He had no sense of direction. He just ran to escape his adversary. Each step seem to him to take him deeper and deeper into worsening labyrinth of the jungle. He was broken down by despair. He could feel the breath of his pursuer. Hot on his neck. What was worse, his feet kept getting entangled in the undergrowth tripping him. Suddenly,..........continue Reading by clicking on the link below:

I’m so sorry
Did you hope I was crying?
It was rough without you
It was rough without you

I did some charity today for the kids
But I’m used to it cause all y’all charity cases
All y’all stare in my face in hopes you could be the replacement
Niggas snitching on us without no interrogation
I stay silent ‘cause we at war and I’m very patient
Six God is watching, I just hope you’re prepared to face him
I’m charged up, I’m charged up

Wow, I’m honored that............ . Continue Reading by clicking on the link below:

Literature / Arinze The Village Boy by Prestige324: 12:33pm On Jul 24, 2015
Arinze The village boy

Arinze woke up with a splitting headache. His mouth felt sore and coated with repulsive tasteless material. His entire being felt terrible. Several weights was tied to his body and fixed to the bed. The sunlight stung his eyes, so he kept them shot against the sunlight; against the thuds of ache in his head. His stomach was sown with thistles of wild oats. For a long time he lay supine, making little effort to arrest the dizziness in his head. Finally, he forced his body to obey him. He swung his feet violently off the bed and immediately fell back to the bed clutching his head with both hands. He lay motionless for a time, then more slowly, he lifted his legs off the bed, all the while, holding his head with his palms. Every joints in his body ached, but he................ Amanda The Pregnant Girl

Amanda knew that being a mother would be very difficult, especially for her. Sometimes she would loose her appetite due to the nausea of her pregnancy. It was a difficult pregnancy for her since it was her first, she bled in the early weeks, and the doctor thought she might miscarry. Then she began having painful contractions after her seventh months, putting her in a danger of premature delivery. Finally, during the last month of pregnancy, she noticed that her feet was swollen all day and night, and she was gaining more weight than normal. Her doctor informed her that her blood pressure was high although it had been normal all along. The doctor further told her that her change of condition was due to pre-eclampsia; a condition in which high blood pressure and body swelling, along with protein in the urine develop during the second half of pregnancy. The woman may not feel sick but will have persistent headache. Some may develop visual disturbance, seeing flashing lights or stars that doesn’t exist. Others will feel unrelenting pains in the............... Continue Reading by clicking on the link below:

Music/Radio / Lyrics: Pray For Me Lyrics By Darey by Prestige324: 5:59pm On Jul 07, 2015
Woke up one Sunday morning
Told my daddy
I’m leaving home
Going off to the city tomorrow
Even though I don’t know where to go
But daddy said son don’t be a fool
Cause life in the city is unbelievable
You could get broken oh
You’re just a little boy
And you may never find your way
And I said................ Continue the lyrics from the link below

Politics / Evil Critics Did In The House by Prestige324: 11:28pm On Jul 03, 2015
It is essential to know that whatever you do, people will talk. When you sneeze involuntarily, people will talk about it. Either you are rich or poor, if you put on an expensive material, if you dress in rags, if you marry at an early age, if you are not married at a certain advanced age, if you are humble or proud, if you are strong or weak, if you are born again or a stubborn sinner, critics is inevitable. I have witnessed a situation where people slaughtered an innocent man through their words because his son was to....... Continue Reading by clicking on the link below www.storyprofile.com/?p=166

THE DAY I MESS IN MY FATHER'S PRESENCE.

Papa wanted to beat head out of me the day I polluted in his presence. It wasn’t intentional though. It was like the air was waiting for me to be with Papa before it came out.
I was with Papa around 3:05pm when I came back from school. Papa was desperately searching for something inside his Synod bag. I sat beside him, looking around, viewing our compound, how breeze manage to carry dry leaves and waterproof up and down, how birds were flying and making noise, how hen was moving about with her children making a cho cho cho noise and how cock craw with his small long tiny mouth. Then I heard a noise “puuuuu”. I looked at Papa and felt sorry.
“Are you mad?” Papa asked.
The enraged timber in papa’s voice made my finger cold at the tips. I thought he will pull at my ear. I thought he will yank and yawn at the same time as he spoke. That he would slap me that his palm would make that sound, like a heavy book falling from a library shelf at school. He turned and continued what he was doing. I was tong-tied. I imagined what I did. I asked myself when last I ate beans. I probably forgot I took coconut and bread with yaughrt last night. In not less than fifteen minutes, I focused my attention on a hen that was pursuing a butterfly, imagining what the hen will do with the butterfly if she caught it. I saw another cock that was chasing a hen. I let my eyes to stroll, I wanted to know what will definitely happen when he catches the hen. I heard another sound “kwuo” I felt hotness in my............. Continue Reading by clicking on this link
