We often read and hear people say " I have sincerely tried but still failed!"

Perhaps we failed because, there was something else or more that was needed to bring us the success we were seeking.

A negative mental attitude, is one of the primary causes of failure, especially when we are seriously ignorant of the existence of facts, universal laws and powers.

We may actually know about them but fail to apply them to specific needs.

I learnt something lately, when you seek success with positive mental attitude, you will keep trying, you keep searching to find something more, though we MUST be threatened by fear of the the unknown, but do not relent.

One very simple formula to get what you seek easily, is "Add something more to your efforts". Probably, go extra miles, leave your comfort zone. Think out of the box. Don't be limited by you myopic views and little knowledge alone; read wide...

Napoleon Hill said
"It is necessary only to apply the universal law that had always existed but which had not been previously recognized as applicable for the specific invention".

Therefore, if you are standing on the threshold of success without being able to passover just like myself, let us try adding something more, It doesn't even need to be so much, "It is not necessarily the quantity of something but the the inspired quality that counts"

Take for instance, the story of Alexander Graham Bell, have you wondered why the US supreme court decided that Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone?.

There were many other persons who claimed to have invented the telephone before A. G. Bell, among them were: Gray, Edison, Dolbear, McDonough, Vanderweyde and Reis.

Did you know that Philip Reis, was the only one who apparently came close to success. But you wouldn't believe the little difference that made the big difference: just a screw.

Reis, didn't know that if he had turned one screw one quarter of a turn, he would have transformed interrupted current into continuous current. Then he would have been successful.

Let me give us one secret: whenever you receive a flash of inspiration, write it down. This may be the "something more" that you are looking for.

"We believe that communication with infinite intelligence is through the subconscious mind".
I also believe you should establish the habit of immediately writing down flashes of inspiration as they are communicated to you from the subconscious to the conscious.

A saying in Igbo goes: onye ara si amamihe n'abia n' awa n'awa. Meaning knowledge comes in as a flash.

We will develop our mental powers, when we learn and develop the habit of using pencils and paper to write down our questions, ideas and Answer.

Our Ancestors Are Not Evil, Demonic: Relate With Them For Protection And Their Support By Odimegwu Onwumere Ugbo Monday Nicodemus, a Facebook friend sent me with the following open comment after reading my articles. He wrote, “I Have Read Most Of Your Post If Not All, I Discovered You Support Our Traditional Way Of Doing Things Before The British Came And Destroyed Almost Everything. This Prompt Me To Ask You This Few Questions, I Hope You Will Answer Me Without Taking Offence. Are You A Dibia? Is Your Father Or Grandfather A Dibia Also? Why Do You Believe Going Back Will Benefit Us, Despite The Barbaric Things That Happened Before The Arrival Of The British?” Let me start by thanking Nicodemus for making himself an avid reader of my articles and lengthening his views about me for discourse. Many of us are living in the world of design or we are living in a world of design. Our forebears didn’t live by coincident or design, just as we are doing. They lived according to nature’s dictate. Today, many people do not know the influence and power their ancestors hold on their lives, hence they continue to swim in "unending" problems – hating their ancestors instead of appeasing them for peaceful repose and protection and support from the Planes beyond. The Egyptians knew the powers and influence the ancestors hold on their living ones and they chronicled “The Book Of The Dead” which the church politically removed from the bible as a result of church politics. It is the fear and propaganda that those who designed the world they want us to live in that has been sidelining some of our people not to abreast with their origin and you see them asking such a question as, "Why Do You Believe Going Back Will Benefit Us, Despite The Barbaric Things That Happened Before The Arrival Of The British?" I want to say that our forebears, as Ndigbo, didn't live in obscurity and the arrival of the rapacious colonialists from Britain did not bring salvation to us but distortion, misdirection and confusion on our lives. They designed these mechanisms in their intent to colonise us for their greed for power and politics by instituting a religion that many of our people today think has brought salvation. While our Igbo Spirituality is brandished evil and demonic by the European and many of our people under their religious spell, the same people who have been waging garrulous wars against aboriginal spiritualities did the same to the European peoples through sword and bloodbath, by extirpating native peoples of Europe who had natural Higher Consciousness, psychic and healing powers in order to coerce them into accepting the religion that is embellished in hyper-politics to. There was the church war against the Cathers (a research on this might help you). These native peoples, like the Igbo forebears were peaceful, pious vegetarian people. The institutors of the Church war did not want them to exist for the fear that with their native-knowledge in the secret of the Grail, it would not be possible to use 'power and religion' to conquer as many people of different race as they wanted, therefore many were crudely wiped out and cremated alive. What many think the British or Europeans introduced to them as religion, was what they were forcefully made to embrace by those who witch-hunted the world in the name of politics and felt that they were powers that be. Europe, like Ndigbo, was not a monotheistic continent. They, like Ndigbo, embraced the monotheistic religion by the sword, colonialism and witch-hunt. In Europe, like ala-Igbo where many native shrines and sacred divinities were burnt and damaged, Europe inherited a destruction of their ancient scriptures of the native people, “some of them in ancient runic scripts”. After this, the brainwashing of the local people started and they began to hate everything their native ways. So, when you sarcastically ask me if I’m a Dibia, it reminds me of our people who have been brainwashed to believe that being a Dibia is evil and Demonic. It is sad that we have lost most of our ancestral ways of life, if not all, where some people still see such ‘ways of life’ of our people as ‘barbaric’. We lost our morals, native songs and dance, folklores, moonlit plays, sacred herbs and we are today a people gasping for a true spiritual heritage. Many of us are neither here nor there. However, it is imperative to note that our ancestors are haranguing that we returned home, as we are living in a dangerous and dark period in the world’s history. They are ever ready to protect, support and give us the true meaning of redemption. -Odimegwu Onwumere is a Poet, Writer and Media Consultant based in Rivers State. Email: apoet_25@yahoo.com

LiteratureIf Only.... Love Poem By ODIMEGWU ONWUMERE by prettyblaqy(op): 2:34pm On Aug 31, 2017
If only my deepest heart can be heard through words, If only my heart full of words and imaginations can express itself Then you will understand how much you have occupied my heart Than words can possibly express. My words can be translated into many languages But you are the one who can translate my heart beat If only you can listen to my heart beat You will hear much music crooning in it. You cannot be expressed my mere words Even though words can make or mar a coward Your actions speak of how much I mean to you And words cannot express the much you have shared. I no longer see much other than: Your nose, pointing me to the world, Your hair, falling all the worries on your shoulder, Your picture, pointing that you appear the best. I was bereft of words, You have made me find one. If only my deepest heart can be heard through words, If only my heart full of words and imaginations can express itself Then you will understand how much you have occupied my heart Than words can possibly express. There Is Sadness In Love By Odimegwu Onwumere There is sadness in love but love forces the sadness out. It is love that hides the gulf in love gingered by sadness created by sadly behavours. There is grief in the heart that loves given by a pain-causer in love. Love and sadness are one in love We get ten minutes angry in love like it is ten years anger. According to one pronounced writer, Odimegwu Onwumere, he said in his book that divorce is a disgrace to Marriage. you critically stated and outlined the history and origin of divorce from time immemorial. According to him, I believe why there are so much divorce this time is partly because people have forgotten their root and background. especially our cultures and adopted white man culture and way of life. That book "Disgrace of Marriage" by Odimegwu Onwumere, is a must read for both married and intending couple.

It does not take a male child to come from the same parents or parent with you to be your brother. Some persons who have brothers are crying that they do not have, while others who do not have are always crying, asking questions upon questions, why they do not have.
Many people have found their brothers in their friends; likewise, many have found their enemies in their brothers. This is the world we are in. Some are crying while others are laughing. Some are even experiencing both. What does it take to make a brother? It only takes two persons to be brothers, irrespective of their genealogy.
It was in the days of our fathers that love of a brother was supreme. Hardly these days, because the bond that once held families together had been pierced by the unknown enemy, who sold a lot of discord to humanity, hence are humane hearts and charitable hearts in dearth.
Believing that ancestry makes people brothers is a fallacy in the present days. People can only be siblings, without brotherly love and relationship, but these can be found in persons who are not related to you in any form, just that they are human beings.
It is crassness to believe that if somebody is your brother, then the axiom that blood is thicker than water is supreme, but this is not true. Brotherly relationship has to be worked on, just as friends work on their relationships. Some brothers take this fact for granted, and have the belief that since parentage is concerned, there is no love lost. This is one wrong notion that has held mankind down for ages.
Birth is even an accident, and not a choice. Is friendship which is a choice not better than that which happened by accident? Some friends are brothers in disguise vis-à-vis.
Some of our childhood friends are the ones who are our real brothers, and not the brother who does not know anything about your childhood memories and grown-up dreams once experienced.
Many times, our friends are there for us than our brothers. Many brothers knock down dreams than friends can possibly think, let alone, executing them. Many friends are brothers given to us by nature, and many brothers are enemies given to us by nature. What is a brother when you cannot leave on him or trust him? Some brothers would want a brother drowned; a habit a friend would eschew and help the friend boat across.
Brothers no longer agree because of some selfish derivations. Brothers no longer endure brothers; they churlish their brothers. They no longer know each other's heart. Confidential issues with brothers are most times made open in a nervy form. Hardly are brothers enduring family feud and quarrels. Brothers these days love outsiders than insiders. Brothers despise their brothers because of relationships with especially their fiancées. At worse, their wives!
There is no longer justice and teamwork and kindheartedness and compassionate among brothers, but these can be found among friends. So, it is foolery the continuous acclamation that blood is thicker than water. It is presumably that water has taken the place of blood. Blessed be those who see a brother beyond parentage.

Family"Beyond Culture And Religion" by prettyblaqy(op): 7:17pm On Jun 20, 2017
" Odimegwu Onwumere is not just a writer but a seer".
He has these to say:
" BEYOND RELIGION AND CULTURE: There is a world some persons are creating in our midst, which its absurdity oozes odiferous. “It is my brother” no longer rings a bell in their sub-consciousness. They are ready to ignore a brother’s call at the point of need or at the point of un-need. All that matters to them is that after hurting their brother, there will always be a day for apology and forgiveness. On that day, they will remember that their Jesus told them that if a brother does not hurt a brother, there will be no forgiveness. They would not remember that their Jesus had also warned that they should live in and be at peace with all men. Today, I’m watching some people at every given moment. Sadly, some of our relatives now live in our hearts even though they are not dead, which was occasioned by their actions. This means they no longer care about relationship but their Capitalistic nature. This reminds me that someone could be your brother but a certain behaviour that exists in one or either of them strains the relationship that ought to be in existence among them. Some actions that I’m seeing in the world have made me to begin to reason the following words by George Orwell, “WAR IS PEACE”, “FREEDOM IS SLAVERY”, “IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH." Some brothers see some hurting behaviours against their brothers as a measure for them to be at or in peace. Some see their reclusive life of not regarding their brothers as freedom. Some see their ignorance in not understanding the bond of brotherhood and brotherliness as strength. I am aghast why some brothers (brother here could mean an uncle, cousin, nephew, sister, niece and what have you) are no longer of brotherly feeling.

CultureSurname: Why Not Mother's Name? by prettyblaqy(op): 7:32pm On Jun 16, 2017
Odimegwu Onwumere, A social
conservative who aim at preserving traditional morality and social mores, often by opposing what he considers radical policies or social engineering, has this to say.
Surname: Why Not Mother's Name?
By Odimegwu Onwumere
In any ancient African family where there is no male child, emotional disturbances and feelings of being bereft, become rampant, even if all the female children are notable people in the society. This contemptuous attitude towards the female child is caused by foolish tradition that forbids women from inheriting from their father’s property, as the male children do.
Every year, the African father, especially the Christian, celebrates what is called ‘Fathers Day’. But, not all fathers are fathers, some are husbands. An African father feels that when the female child inherits from his property, she would prosper would-be husband with it. He feels that training the girl-child is useless to him, but beneficial to her future husband. What a primordial nonsense! This is a child he flogs and sends on errands the same manner he does to the male child. This is a child that calls him father.
This is girl who was not asked to shy away from certain work in the family because she was a female. Yet, he would not father her, but would erase her name and deny her inheritance because of tradition. He only calls her, “my daughter”, but when it comes to training her or making her an heiress of his property, he gives his son more preference. How bizarre!
In many homes today, it is the girl-child that spearheads the family financially, even from her matrimonial home. She does not mind the problems besetting her immediate family, but the problems in her father’s house becomes first in her priorities. She supports the family in many ways, to see that she maintains her roots - whilst the male-child that is often held in high esteem, may turn out to be a criminal, a prodigal son, a hooligan, or contemptuous person, yet all the family legacy may go to him because he is a man.
This girl-child begins another phase of labour in her matrimonial home, working to please her husband. Swallowing all forms of debasements upon her integrity. She begins to cope with man’s greedy nature, many concubines he keeps out of matrimony, how many bottles of beer he drinks, people he “dashes” money.
While the man lives on in marriage, the woman dies slowly in it. Because, it is a man’s world. She goes to work in the morning, like the man, only to leave office before the office closes in order to cook for the man. She washes in the house and still carries her crest at hand, not knowing if she had pleased Mr. Right so much if he comes back.
Mr. Right would not appreciate this woman for her immense efforts towards the welfare of the family, but would begin to nag, asking, “Where is my food? Why is sand on the floor of the room? The home smells! Why did you not do this? Why did you not do that? Not minding, the amiable woman would obey her man and return to the kitchen. While the man relaxes in the sitting room watching television.
The woman begins to prepare the children for dinner and for sleep, by washing them, by dressing them up, by making sure that they are secure, while Mr. Right would be snoring in deep sleep in the sitting room. The woman won’t still ignore him, she would wake him to come and take his bath, so as to be prepared for the night’s sleep.
While sleeping, Mr. Right does not want to know what happens to the children, it is the duty of the woman. He often complains at his family, “Woman! You and your children are disturbing me!” He might leave the room for them to seek comfort elsewhere.
After battling with this in the night, the woman wakes before Mr. Right for the morning chores. She would wash the plates used for eating the night before, prepare the children for school and even comes to prepare “Mr. Right” to take his bath, eat and dress him for his office. Yet, Mr. Right will not say “thank you” to the woman. What women see in the world is much, and it’s only God that knows why it is so.
When the children need maximum care and training from the man, he would not be available. And when they remember that dad is rigid, a nag, they won’t go again to tell him what his responsibilities are, thereby resulting in the man being freed from his responsibilities. It is still this woman that the children would run or turn to.
The woman would not force them to meet their father, rather she might sell her valuables to ensure that the children are trained, not even minding that they are not bearing her name, not even minding that if she dies, no body remembers her name; everyone remembers the man’s.
The man’s paramount happiness in life for shying away from his responsibilities is that his relations have seen that he has paid his duty, at least, by marrying and bringing the hapless children he can not cater for into the earth. He may go from one beer parlour to another drinking to stupor. The man has no blame and should not be blamed, but the society should be blamed for seeing any unmarried man as a fool.
When the woman must have finished struggling to train the children and God blesses them and they are prosperous, Mr. Right comes back to claim ownership as their father. And if the children want to do anything funny to him, the amiable Mama would plead on his behalf. The children will forgive because the woman (who cannot stop loving them) has spoken.
When the woman is pregnant for this man, he may have no respect for her. He may go to “chase” other ‘fresh’ girls outside matrimony. He leaves the woman to solely bear the punishment his amorous libido had caused. The woman begins to carry the foetus happily. She does not leave her home chores, she still does them. She carries this for a period of nine months, while the man practices his usual infidelity. But assuming he were the woman, the whole world would hear of it.
When the woman goes to the labour room, it is another experience. She begins to call Jesus Christ. If that does not work, she begins to call Jehovah. These and more suffering the woman bears only for the man to have a name. Why not the mother’s name?

Haba!!, What's all these? I honestly need answer to this rhetorical question, I don't really understand why the death rate of young promising people have continued to increase as the day comes! Each week I've witnessed since January Ending is about one young man or lady within the age of 25 - 39 years. I keep on wondering if its been invoked or injected into the air. People need to sit up now and reflect so far on their past mistakes and behavior and ask God for mercy. The bible said in Isaiah 1:18 “ Come now, and let us reason together ,” Says the Lord,“Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. Everyone needs it because in one way or the other we have younger people in our families. Its a sober reflection to return back to our creator. The bible also said so in 2chr.7:14 " if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land". Biko, Ejuo, please my people, in our own way let's us run back to God and be saved. I pray for you reading this and mediating on these words that God almighty will shed you from evil eyes, plans and attacks, I speak the blood of Jesus over you, Obituary can never be for you, your loved ones can't be victims of sudden death. Amen!!

I wonder if this so called daddy can knowingly marry a former prostitute or allow his son or relative to marry such.

I know a lot of men have been tricked into marrying "retired" or semi-retired oloshos who did the business in university or shortly there after.

Religion keeps deceiving people daily
Father Lord forgive this young person for he/she knows Notting he/she is doing. My dear, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere will always say to your kind." I love you." You know something, You make him more popular. I pray you realise the power in the tongue and bridle yours. you are not to be blamed yes because so many has come in the name of god. the bible say so in Matthew 7:22 (New International Version)
Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?
Be Wise

Thank God for their salvation, however, getting married within just less than a year of being born again raises concern.
The church should not rush them off to marriage, rather, they should help them get consolidated in the word of God and deliverance.
If the men getting married to these "sisters" are not deep and matured, they may have issues with a balance in marital harmony.
You don't marry a baby believer talkless of one who has been in prostitution for years!! I wish them well.
The church doesn't leave them even after their wedding. besides the scripture can't lie; This is a startling statement that was first made by Jesus Himself to a man who had been afflicted for 38 years. ""Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole " (John 5:2-6)
These words of Jesus tell you that you can be made completely whole. Study Jesus and you’ll find that whenever He healed a person, He healed them of everything. That’s a powerful thought; but as you continue to search the scriptures for yourself, you’ll find out that it is absolutely true. And the same is true today—when God’s healing power goes into you, you can be healed of everything; but you don’t usually receive any more than you accept.

Why hide their faces when every body else in the church saw their faces already? huh
People like you may still forget that they no longer live the type of lives they lived in Egypt or maybe start judging them based on that tomorow. When its obvious you may have done more than they did.
Come to OPM and get restored. OPM is interested in depopulating hell. the Bible said in Isaiah 5:14 King James Version (KJV)
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. Be wise
