hey folks, I work in a leading bank in Nigeria.
But due to the Austerity and bad economy, We are getting underground news that there would be a massive downsizing programme.

i am to get married to my lovely wife April, but I am planning to cancel it.
Reason: so i can have some money and start life just incase!
hoping for the best, expect the worst.

Is this a wise decision?

no ooh bros don't cancel it ooh,just gather small money for d wedding and make sure u have plenty friends and also make sure u are in not less dan 3clubs or association,after dis den u do d wedding, u will see dat u will get 4times of d money u used for d wedding,...come back and thank me after the wedding... blessings!!!

The police in Ogun State are on the trail of a female tenant, simply identified as Sakirat, who allegedly strangled her landlady to death over electricity bill.

The incident occurred at Mowe, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, few days ago.

Sakirat allegedly sneaked into her landlady’s apartment and strangled her to death, before escaping from the community, after it dawned on her that her landlady was dead.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the deceased landlady, Saidat Ishola, popularly known as Iya Olope, had, in the morning before her death, had a disagreement with Sakirat, over electricity bill.

The suspect had reportedly accused her landlady of cutting off the electricity to her two-room apartment during the heated argument in the early hours of the day.

They were both separated by neighbours and people in the area, only for the neighbours to see the lifeless body of the landlady, in her apartment later in the day.

Samson Ishola, a son to the deceased landlady, narrated that “I had left home very early in the morning to my workshop. It was in when I got to my workshop that someone told me to go back home that my mother and one of our tenants was fighting.

“I then headed home, to persuade my mother but met my elder brother and some residents in the street, who informed me they had settled the matter. So, I went back to my shop.”

Samson added that “when Sakirat was strangling my mum, my uncle’s pregnant wife, who was in the bedroom heard her cry and rushed out of the room, but she was overpowered.”

He further narrated that, “Immediately the suspect killed my mother, she ran away without taking anything from her room.”

A police source at Mowe divisional police station confirmed the incident to the Nigerian Tribune and added that investigations into the incident had commenced.

Wonders cease to end as a certain Mrs. Joy
Olatunji Shittu, the widow and her two
daughters confessed to hiding their father's
corpse in their house since 2013.
According to Mrs Shittu, the decision to hide
the corpse was her husband’s dying wish
because their family has been under severe
attack.
Narrating why she took such risk against all
odds, she said, “I got married to my husband
in 1973, and before he died in 2013, we had
six children. But two of my sons died
mysteriously after their university education;
two others got missing, while my two
daughters are the only ones alive.
“It has been a running battle that started after
we acquired a landed property in Ifako-Ijaiye
about 20 years ago. My husband and I erected
a storey building but some people in the
neighbourhood who masterminded the arrest
of my daughters are the ones responsible for
all that have befallen my family.
“While my husband was alive, they tried to sell
off our house because of the strategic location
of the building but he refused.
“A particular neighbour (names withheld) who
is very diabolical, threatened to deal with him
(my husband) for refusing to sell our house.
“Later, two of my children died mysteriously
and two others went missing too. My two
sons that died mysteriously woke up shouting
the names of these same people in their
dream.
“They became very sick and before we could
take them to the hospital, they died.
“At the peak of the crisis, Adebayo hit my
husband with a charm and that was when he
became sick. He was sick for eight years.
“We kept taking him from one place to
another, one hospital to another till he finally
passed on.
“Because of all these attacks, my husband
gave instruction that if he eventually dies, we
should not tell anybody and that he would
give us a sign for us to know it was the right
time for him to be buried.
“We hid the corpse of my late husband for two
years in one of the rooms in the house
because we did not want people to know he
was dead for fear of them attacking us and
selling off our house.
“We did not tell my in-laws that he is dead;
they only knew that he was sick.”
However, after a while, she became sick and
had to travel to their home town in Edo State
to seek for traditional medication, but the sad
news of her daughters arrest met and
disrupted her journey.
The three suspects are still under the custody
of Police while further investigation is still on
at the State Criminal Investigation
Department, Panti, Yaba.
