justasitis: That must be a fake infrared cooker, in fact when I set my own at 1000w it will be consuming from below 800w on the inverter. . Boss is not about fake even my induction cooker does that. The wattage keeps going up and down, same with the infrared cooker |

justasitis: Why not go for an infrared cooker like Fred, it has a maximum power of 2200w but can be reduced to as low as 100w and at 800w-1000w the burner turns red. It’s quite fast, energy efficient, has timer, works with any pot and comes with grill stand for grilling or roasting corn. It’s what I’m using as I we have stopped using gas since last year. . After getting the mama home induction cooker, unfortunately for me non of my pot is compatible with it, went to buy the pot they were calling hundreds of naira, I gently got this infared and is very active with nobs to regulate the wattage. I don pack the induction cooker keep. Thanks for this advise boss. soon as I upgrade pannels I go leave gas for una very soon. My biggest challenge now is charging my battery

bassdow: Kindly ensure your PV cable is at least 6mm to cater for future upgrades so you don't easily outGrow it.
No worry, we understand cost of things ain't easy out there. Also must not be Jinko. There are others such as Tongwei and Znshine that are in same league. Haven't patronized cdCare before but I guess their products are good enough.
na our gunMent wey don force us turn something wey suppose be Secondary into Primary I started with 6mm from 12volts last year. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by prince4pro2(m): 3:42pm On Jun 22 |
[img][/img] bassdow: mayBe @prince4pro2 should tell us their usage patterns. Just like you said, some leave home very early in the morning and come back late at Night. We can't compare their expereince with those who spends more time at home or those with demanding appliances. Or those of us wey get loads that rarely go offLine.
Still would recommend 4pcs minimum to cater for most scenerios especially if there's need to use the setUp reliably while it's recharging.
if money no too dey, e fit do 3pcs but would suggest He / She kukuma waits till the money for 4pcs is complete as by the time you calculate cost of transportations, and installations of the second panel(s), you see you now spending extra. Not mentioning other costs.
He also needs understand He can't easily do Parallel with that inverter Boss money no dey oo, na cdcare we just the pay small small. the 3 am getting is for the time being . I go still get another 3 making it 6. So that in case of upgrade in battery capacity I won't be immediately needing pannels again. I have already started payment for 3 620w jinko |

micxwell: Same set-up with 4pcs of 615w panels. Battery charges full around 10am. . Why am yet to see my battery at 27v charge level. I can see your roof is not send down the rain like mine. I go see how to get at least 3 half cut pannels or if possible 4. Na just money matter . |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by prince4pro2(m): 8:28pm On Jun 21 |
xzynwa: Your inverter has 85V minimum solar PV input.
A piece of 620w solar panel ranges from 46v to 50v depending on the brand.
2pieces of such panel may not output the minimum voltage required to start the MPPT charging of the inverter earlier enough, it may during peak sun hours though.
You need a least 3pieces as minimum requirement..
Your inverter can even take up to 6000w of solar power. With time I will get more pannels. Just looking for something minimum to start up with. I will have to continue sourcing for 3 620w jinko instead of 2 |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by prince4pro2(m): 7:53pm On Jun 21 |
bassdow: Actually, it tends to depend on specific solar panel as bigger doesn't always automatically mean bigger output.
in your situation, if buying the solar panels brand new OR if buying from someOne who bought them brand new not long, then the 620w is more superior. Also should always be halfCut by default.
So yeah, would go for 2pcs of 620w hallfCut solar panels than even 3pcs of even 450w ones.
As usual, on the flip side, I rather stay with quality non halfCut panel than a halfCut panel that's of very very low quality.
Now you need be sure your inverter is compatible enough for the solar panels. Inverter spec.

bassdow: A lot of times, we just understand what we wanna understand.
I have preference for Low wattage solar panels within range of 350w to 450w only when buying USEd ones BUT if buying them BRAND NEW, then the range is 500w to 630w. I wouldn't even attempt buying 400w brand new sef.
na una dey make person type long sometimes.
What I said haven't changed at all.
If USEd, must be between 350w to 450w; max 500w if Brand NEW, must be between 500w to 630w
Must always be halfCut whether NEW or USEd. . Will two 620w jinko pannels perform better than 3 420 non halfcut panels?. I want to get 3 which I Know would be ok for now, but due to fund am looking at just two for now. If 2 can give me up to 900w to 1000w that will be ok for my 2.5kw battery for now |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by prince4pro2(m): 6:32pm On Jun 20 |
bassdow: if buying any brand new solar panel, kindly ensure they're at least 620w especially if buying from the Tier 1 brands.
Normally I suggest used solar panels but lately, the prices no longer encouraging when compared to brand new ones.
Another is, Are you sure the solar panels are the issue ?
How did you do your testing to comclude it's not generating up to 700w ? Don't forget charge controllers / hybrid inverters generally only display what they collecting, not what the solar panels are generating.
Have always advocated for halfCut cells BUT that also doesn't mean the non halfCut cells are useLess. Don't be quick to spend money.
tell us your inverter and if it's hybrid, share with us it's sticker, also the external charge controller's sticker if that's what you using. Also type of battery and it's voltage and capacity. Let's not question state of the solar panels yet. Inverter is itel 4kva hybrid. Battery itel 25.6v. 100ah. |

fuckboys: full cells are an older technology of solar panels. They were used for more of parallel connections.
Get halfcut panels if you're doing series connections. This solar wahala no the finish |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by prince4pro2(m): 6:46am On Jun 19 |
fuckboys: you should have gotten them all halfcut, even if they are slightly different watts but same halfcut mono.
halfcut panels always have higher voltages and perform very well with high voltage inverters and MPPT CCs. Am having this challenge, I have 3 420w full cell all connected in series yet I haven't seen 700w before, I thought it was due to LA Batteries I was using then, but now even after installing lithium battery I still haven't hit up to 600w. Now am planning on getting 3 jinko pannels of 590-625 and selling off the full cells. Cuz I bought them as foreign used |

Guys my building no dey earthed not even the popular thunder protector. The installer but breaker/surge protector btw inverter and pv, then Ac output he put breaker . I don't use grid at all and don't intend charging with Generator. Nigga doesn't even know how to communicate the battery with the inverter. After paying the guy I just see the fee as wasted,if u mistakingly touch screw on the inverter e go shock u small. The only thing I think I paid that guy for is just climbing up and connecting my 3 420w Pv in series. Ogas them is there any means I can protect my system against thunder? |
