Do they even make profit at all? Given the cost of doing business. How well do they pay their staff? After the billions for epl wetin go remain?

@Oga Badaru, i will try out your suggestion and see. @All. One the issue of hitv. They need to take lessons in creative/strategic marketing and consumer behaviour. It is not possible to have monoply on entertainment/information in this age even during the eras of the NTA's these choices were available to those that have the money. Your bigness is measured by the size of the dish in ur frontyard. Enter DSTV and every thing changed. They offerred something different, smaller dishes and quality entertainment tailored to our understanding and the market was theirs. Enter ctl and co, who saw a niche (middle income) in market created by dstv and captured it through rebroadcasting. Enter hitv, who saw an opportunity in the market already created and wants to muscle everyone, instead of growing the market or finding a niche to satisfy other than epl lover. All lovers of epl are lovers of football but not all football lovers love epl. A creative marketing consultant/ Content developer who knows his onions from his pepper would be of great help to them. The only way to combat piracy is lower prices. If every tom, dick and harry can afford it, piracy dies. Get the contents right, offer something different at the right price, make the creation of alternatives useless and the market is yours. Dont be like that my brother offering the air for 50k, who turned around to offer same for 18k. Nigeria is a marketer's dream, 150mil and counting.

@All. The diseqc is working fine and the settings are ok on all the ports. When the other signals goes off, i still have dstv signal. I think i will try the dual lnb stuff and see. @Microgiant. I am jealous o. Three live epl matches, i watch only one. Abeg what are the size of your dishes and which satellites. Bros arrange me fast.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 3:13pm On Feb 21, 2010
@My Ogas. My astra 2b, w3a/sirius and nss7 were all connected to the decoder via a diseqc switch and everything was ok. I now added a fourth dish wish is used for dstv which am sharing with my neighbour, the split was done before the diseqc so only the dstv is shared. Now, anytime he put on his dstv decoder i lose all signals from the other 3 port on the diseqc with only the port for the dstv dish having signal and when i disconnect the dish from the diseqc, all the signals return meanwhile their is no signal loss on the dstv decoder. What could be wrong.

There was rainstorm late this afternoon and it was quite a tempest. Rooftops were carried away, trees were knocked down. It destroyed part of my roof a little. Everywhere was flooded. Dstv/Hitv dishes were blown away. It was something else. It knocked out two of my dish installations. its only my w3a dish still standing.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 10:27am On Feb 13, 2010
@LOVALA, I have dedicated one 90cm dish to sirius just to be sure of the feeds and channels. I got the usual channels with STV1 at 64%, though the following feeds came up when i scanned. Hyde park, Cape and Durban, no video or audio. are you on messenger.?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 8:02pm On Feb 11, 2010

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 9:01am On Feb 10, 2010
I am moving my dstv dish from nss 7 to eutelsat w6. nothing good is free on this nss7, why is the sat so boring. everything is french, no english, no sport at all even if it is american football. I hope i will be successful with w6 atleast one premiership match is on 2M every weekend. @ALL. What is the latest about KBC/K24 & co. Are they trackable from Nigeria and what size of dish. They promise live football every weekend, are they true to their words. Friends in E/Africa should confirm. Fairly use strong decoder is needed.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 6:51pm On Feb 09, 2010
@ALL. Of all the strong low end decoders which is the best for tracking. I am thinking of getting a fairly use one for experimentations.

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 11:37am On Feb 08, 2010
@Ameboperoo. The 47% i got on sirius was during test tracking. I did not fine tune or adjust the elevation at all. What amazed was the eaze with which the signals turned green. Before it was a matter of hours but i tracked and installed nss 7ku under 20 minutes in all. My lc2 and france 24 is at 63% quality and strength at 89% on my hitv decoder with diseqc. Please can i get TP's for nss 7ku.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 5:08pm On Feb 07, 2010
Finally installed the 1m dish i was having problems with, i put on NSS 7ku. The issue i want to point out is not the installatn per se but what i noticed. The bent rectagular lron used for holding the lnb was originally at 45 degrees from the factory, so the lnb was now facing towards the bottom of the dish. No matter how much i track, it will not turn green even on hitv/dstv directn. So i dismantled the dish and pull the iron apart to be at almost 90 degrees. Since then tracking anything with was quite easy. I track sirius/W3A without any adjustment at 48% finally leaving it at nss 7.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 12:33pm On Feb 07, 2010
@ AYU. Are those channels receivable in Nigeria.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 7:41am On Feb 06, 2010
@CANDYMANN. Confirm your location please, so we wont be chasing after shadows. @MIDE. No wonder, i tried tracking the bird yesterday, kai i tried o, no green. i was beginning to think they whole setup is faulty until i used it to track sirius. immediately it turn green at 47% without much adjustment. Now are you saying we cannot receive it here in Nigeria? If we can, what is the bird location and dish size and whether ku or c band. How will one track it. I am highly interested in the kenyan channels, it is like they are in english and do show live EPL. I checked their website yesterday.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 1:05pm On Feb 05, 2010
@CANDYMANN, Thanks. What other channels are there apart from kbc. i believe kbc shows live football.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 7:59am On Feb 05, 2010
@IBAKU. Please comfirm whether those channels on 57 degrees you talked about are not mpeg. i want to go tracking.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 6:03pm On Feb 04, 2010
@JMS & Ameboperoo. The feeds on sirius is for what and when do they come up? Also, are all those promo channels of any use? I have deleted them from list. I dont know if am missing something?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by princeparis(m): 10:11am On Feb 04, 2010
@JMS. Somebody mentioned same a while ago but i dont see much difference in the two options. I use on dish and lnb for sirius and w3a. but i have one extra dish that i might use for sirus alone if i can get some other channels and feeds that have good programming other than canal channels and co. what channels are sirius and their TPS. i kind of prefer english speaking and sports though.
