carr101: Where? Kindly quote a chapter where the bible says that. We're all here to learn, aren't we? smiley
Jude 7 "Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after
strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire."

Lev 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death."

1 Cor 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor effeminate, nor
homosexuals"

1 Tim 1:9-10 "realizing the fact that law is not made for a
righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers"

Rom 1:26-27 "For this reason
God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in
the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men
with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."

Hezron Lorraine: we've moved past this already.enlighten urself here if you don't mind.Thanks.
www.nairaland.com/1421339/christian-still-gay
I see no need to waste my time reading when what I'd see is pointless argument backed up by elusive bible portions. My bible tells me gay are not Christians but would only become one when they give up their perverse ways.

So, thanks but no thanks. I ain't reading. Just accept the truth and stop deceiving urselves.
Christianity EtcRe: The people-of-orientation Christians Chatbox by princesa(f): 10:45pm On Oct 14, 2013

RomanceRe: Childhood Habits That Affect Your Relationship Now by princesa(f): 9:27pm On Oct 14, 2013
1. Abandonment
People who cling to others becausethey’re afraid of being left and don’t feel important relationships will last. They’re
usually attracted to partners who cannot be there in a committed way

I think here lies my relationship problem. Because right now, I really hate commitments and i can't stick at a place for long, my feelings fade and i always have this feeling that am gonna find a way to screw up every relationship.

And i always do sad

But i wasn't really abandoned as a child. Or maybe i was...its just too complicated and am praying for God to help me trust myself and trust guys more.

Nuges11: First of, I'd like to say a big thank you to the brain behind this competition, Mazi, big ups bro, you're much appreciated.

To the judges, wow, you guys are more than awesome. Making time out of no time to read through piles of stories, critique and grade each story is no child's play at all, and you guys did an excellent job at it. Kudos.

I must mention that I've gained so much here, and I'm very sure other contestants have learnt one thing or the other too.

Ms_Fibre, Royver, Oma4u and T-Flow, you guys were simply spectacular, I wanna write like you guys when I grow up smiley . Royver, I read your other story, The Altercation, and I couldn't help but marvel at the way you paint vivid pictures with words, it was a privilege competing with you bro.

To the spectators, God bless you for following. SirElaw, thanks for the moral support, you're loved.

LiteratureRe: Short Story Competition by princesa(f):
@mazi but am not talking to myself na, am reading the stories and writing what i think embarassed

Anyways Jo, Oma4u, i just read your story. But before i say anymore, I just wanna steal this line:

'...assemble words into literary jewels to express my thoughts.'

because it's classic!cheesy

that said, now to the real deal...

- I've always had problem with the length of your stories, why do i have a feeling this too is over stretched?

- at some point, you mistook Mr Eric for Mr Efe. [s] And you were fighting cat and dog with paragraphs and spacing. [/s] (my mistake)

But The story itself was nice, quite suspensful and intriguing, albeit superfluous in narration, character and plot (the twin twist didn't work for me).

All in all, its a unique plot and offcourse I say, welldonewink
LiteratureRe: Short Story Competition by princesa(f): 10:48pm On Oct 12, 2013
Okay scratch that, twas nugess piece that made big aunty efe emotional not royvers.

Uhm...lets see how it goes on mesmiley
LiteratureRe: Short Story Competition by princesa(f): 10:42pm On Oct 12, 2013
Okay royver, just read urs.

I think the Genre falls around fantasy right? And the narrative uses present continuous? - which indeed is a slight change from the status quo - but i must say that you tried and didn't miss up the tenses till it ended. So good point for you!

Now to the story...
Err...Well, it read like a Disney script to me (pls take that lightly), albeit having a Nigerian setting.

Interesting to also note that this was the story that made some people here emotional right? huh Oh well, as for me i didn't blink a tear oh, because Sandra had better face her book and let angel...err...(whatever his name is).... protect her from afar! Children of nowadays sef grin

ignore me jare, Its all good. And i loved itwink
LiteratureRe: Short Story Competition by princesa(f): 10:13pm On Oct 12, 2013
'When will a woman ever realize that she has more than what's in-between her legs?'

Indeed miss fibre, you've proven ur siggy's worth. Taking on the slant in theme that am sure most ladies- me inclusive- would shy away from, is very commendable, inspiring and even challenging.

Stories like this remind me about the Rwandan Genocide, even though its relatively far from the theme of your story (and am always moody aftersad).

But i still say Welldone girl/lady/woman.wink
LiteratureRe: Short Story Competition by princesa(f): 7:34pm On Oct 12, 2013
@bolded; hmm... Are u just using that phrase or do you really know what you're saying?

Anyway, don't keep us waiting for long...
does that phrase now have like a connotative meaning huh #somethingsoundsfishy

anyways, i wont keep you guyz waitingsmiley
