I think market makers are up to something on ellahlakes, who are the people they are selling for at 3.21, I have been on the line since morning, I no see buy at that price but they are busy selling for bigger buyers not on the line at the same price. What is happening.

On second look, this will definitely cause a rally in OandO SP.

Tranche 1
Lagbaja has 300,000 units by QD 1(Feb 14). SP =₦75. Ratio is 1:12.
Lagbaja gets 25,000units (equivalent of ₦1,875,000). That's about ₦3 per share

Tranche 2
Lagbaja now has 325,000 units by QD 2(June 30). SP =₦85. Ratio is 1:15.
Lagbaja gets 21,666units (equivalent of ₦1,841,610). That's about ₦4 per share

Lagbaja now has 346,666units by QD 3 + ₦7 'DIV' in 2025...

Nahco did not do private placement oooo. Nshco was owned by federal government of Nigeria. The company was privatized and the public offer was sold to Nigerians based on state of origin.

Bureau of Public Enterprise headed by Nasir El Rufai believed previous privatization was cornered by the South Westerners

you are right...remembered it was ipo which was allocated I think by states,as it was distributed evenly to each state if I'm not mistaken

One major precedent that made private placements hot cake then was the NAHCO story. Recall that in 2003/4 NAHCO did its private placement at N5 per share with very low OS, and soon afterwards got listed and within two months or so of listing, it rose from the quoted price of N5 to N70+ meaning a 1300% gain in such a short time. That created the perception that private placement is the easiest way to financial breakthrough.
