What I expected from a forward thinking government is to make the 3 major languages compulsory for all students/pupils and to also set exams in these languages.

We just had players who were more concerned about putting their personal legacy before anything else. We had players with so much competitive pride, they wouldn't pass up an opportunity to assert their footballing dominance anywhere, in spite of the predatory organization called the NFF.

You're forgetting that financial mismanagement was rampant in practically all sectors during that era, not just the NFA. Military or not, the propensity for abuse of power has always been a constant.

When you want to counter a statement, do well to include evidences to back up whatever claim you're making.
