Ghostagain: Abacha was a thief, an even bigger thief then Obasanjo. This romancing of Abacha is a great mistake. You're still singing the media heist. Serious questions: What was our annual budget for the 5 years of his rule? What was our crude oil exportation output? Who were our major trading partners during his era? How much was our annual income as a country? How were the money getting sent to Switzerland since we were under economic and financial sanctions similar to the financial sanction NK, Iran and Russia are currently facing. Don't forget almost all 5 years of his rule, we were under wester sanctions led by the US. We were isolated. I read somewhere that Abacha's name is the nest corrupt Nigerians use in covering up their loots when they need to enter a deal with the West. (once they are caught with stolen money, they enter a deal with the west and whatever they stole is counted as "Abacha's loot" since he's long dead and can't defend whatever. |

Ghostagain: What you said didn't negate what I said. It did. You claimed most weapons Buhari got from Russia was paid for by Jonathan. Mind listing as least 3 references to this? Jonathan was there for 5 years and suddenly woke up few months to the end of his tenure to buy from Russia. I wouldn't credit him for such, made no sense. It was in 2014 (3rd quarter) he realised he needed to get weapons from outside the west after wasting 4 good years. Now check the references I posted and read through, none were said to be deliveries of previously paid for weapons. So kindly send us references to weapons delivered to Buhari that Jonathan paid for. (That qualifies as MOST) |

Ghostagain: Nigerians are bad at history, even recent history 😓
Thanks for the links but, some of those weapons were purchased by Jonathan. And the 1 billion dollar payment might actually be for payment of weapons purchased by Jonathan because they were bought on credit.
I also didn't say Buhari didn't buy weapons from Russia, I said that most weapons he received during his tenure were Russian weapons bought by Jonathan. Read my comment again and also check the date on each publication. |

Ghostagain: Nigeria (whichever government) sees the USA as heaven. If I were advising Brics, I wouldn't hesitate before telling them to shun Nigeria completely. I wouldn't trust Nigeria in BRICS under this current govt. If it was Abacha's tenure, then I'd 100% trust Nigeria. Abacha was the only Nigerian leader that showed the west the middle finger in his 5 years rule. |

Ghostagain: Then Jonathan finally decided to buy from Russia, and Russia opened a line of credit for Nigeria and started sending the weapons quickly, even Ukraine sold some second hand weapons to Nigeria, but the most important weapons came from Russia and all new equipment came from Russia also most of the weapons overall came from Russia. Let's not forget that China also sold weapons including drones and brand new mraps to Nigeria.
After that Nigeria went ahead and backstabbed Russia at the UN again. Then buhari took over and came up with the "wishlist" and shunned Russia while wishing for American weapons which would never be delivered 😂 except from some second hand and disarmed mraps (which would require being refitted) and super tucanos. Most of the weapons Buhari got during his tenure were Russian weapons bought by Jonathan under credit which were delivered in Buhari's wishlist tenure...
There is a pattern, Nigeria wants to please America, but when in need, America says fvck you to Nigeria, then Nigeria remembers that Russia and China do exist, then they help Nigeria, then Nigeria says fvck you to Russia and China and begs the USA to be its friend... Half truths here. Buhari also bought weapons from the Russians outside the ones Jonathan paid for. Kindly expand your research on this, there are numerous sources on this. https://www.cfr.org/blog/nigeria-and-russia-sign-military-cooperation-agreementhttps://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2018-04-04/nigeria-s-buhari-approves-1-billion-for-weapons-purchasehttps://www.newsweek.com/nigeria-buys-military-aircraft-russia-pakistan-us-demurs-528344https://dailytrust.com/buhari-weapons-from-russia-ukraine-war-now-coming-to-africa/ |

Olatunji1929: I know that but since Govt of apc came to power Nigeria have been slaving for western countries and they don't hid it,Nigeria govt is not showing any interest in joining Brics, BRICS should only accommodate those who are willing to join not a saboteur like Nigeria, Nigeria govt won't think twice before betraying BRICS for the West Naa. You still don't know. We have been patronizing the Russians from the latter days of Jonathan's tenure and throughout that of Buhari. It's only this Tinubu I'm not sure of. Last I checked, Buhari's time was also APC. |

mysticwarrior: During the heights of the Boko haram insurgency Nigeria went to the US and Israel to supply them weapons to fight Boko haram, both Isreal and the US declined, Nigeria now went to Russia who opened their arms and supply us with heavy weapons of war temper, and it was those weapons that were used to reduced Boko haram activities to an understandable level. Judging from the above Nigeria has realized who it's friends really are, and by becoming a partner to BRICS is it's way of demonstrating just that. Are you truly sure our govt know this? I mean the current govt |

Afodot0022: You are deluded. Am not at loss and will never be, am a man and if I want kids now, I will get another. She is the one that will loss cos with all her stress on those kids, when they grow older, they will look for their father and by then, the truth will be waiting for them, it will be all her loss. Am doing all these cos am a responsible man and want to do what am expected to do as a father to my kids. Most men won't even bothered about them and will move on, but am doing this cos I want to do the right thing. With what she did, it's enough reason for me to abandon those kids and move on but despite that, am still looking back and not considering her stupidity. You came for advice, yet fighting everyone that drops both sensible and senseless posts especially the females here. Inform your parents you want to return the bride price and let them inform her parents since no marriage certificate (registry) is involved here. The children would be given to you because it's clear that she can't take care of them without you financially and otherwise. |

If he is abroad, he will be in a very hot soup. See lawyers everywhere lol Chidl support as in how? Can you read? They are not dirvorced legally and never married in the court. Only traditional marriage. What the OP should do is inform his family and ask them to inform her family that the bride price is about to be returned. Whatever the woman didn't bring to the marriage is not for her to possess (This include the children she abandoned at her father's place). Meaning she's not also fit to care for the children if her father claims to have paid the fees in the last 6 months that she dumped them there. |

Their dominance will end just very quickly.
You can bookmark this statement / page as a reference, and testament. God made Americans great? Who are the forefathers of the modern day America? Europeans seeking greener pastures outside the European continent. If you know the devilish stuff they did before taking over the land now called USA. They committed genocide, wiped out the indigenes of that land. No God made them great, greed, cruelty and hunger for power made them great! |

You do not need to enter into an alliance to trade with anyone. Alot of countries that are anti-Russia are still trading with Russia, so there should be more visible benefits to this alliance. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Putin Shows New BRICS Currency To Replace US Dollar In Global Trade (Photos) by Procashtips(m): 7:26am On Oct 24, 2024 |
Anonimoux: The US dollar has maintained its position as the world's de facto currency for years and it's status as the global reserve currency has remained unchallenged for decades.
Do you really think that one BRICS currency can just come and overthrow it? Something that even stronger currencies like the British Pound and Euro have failed to do so.
The US dollar's reign will likely continue for a long time." I'm saying again that you should become a student of history, the more you write, the more it shows. Even your analogy is telling of naivity. Reserve currency isn't about strength but dominance. Any country's currency that's dominant in the world tends to serve as reserve currency. The USD isn't even the longest serving world currency, yet it's about to be dethroned because the US made the mistake of weaponising it. From the 16th to the 18th century, the Spanish silver dollar was the world reserve because they were the world power then, after their decline, the British pound came on board that reigned till the middle of the 20th century before the USD took over after the 2nd WW. The USD hasn't even completed one century in the helms of power, they're already being threatened by heavyweight countries Coming together with a single currency. Acceptance of a currency is by countries and not by might, once the majority start boycotting it, it'll decline and lose it's position, some serious countries have started bycotting it not by choice but by necessity. The takeover won't happen in 1-10 years though but before the end of 20yrs (2044), the USD would no longer be the reserve currency. Just sit back and read/learn from other students of history. 21st century started from 2001 and to end in 2100. |

If your household income is ₦1m per month, economically, it's fair to stay in a ₦2m per year home.
If your household income is ₦500k, you can afford a ₦1m per year home
If your household income is ₦100k
Stick to living in a house where yearly rent is ₦200k
This means you should be living in a one room apartment or a mini flat at ₦200k per month if available.
Don't go about stressing your life!
(Note: By household income, I'm talking about both spouse bringing in/contributing money to run the home. This is not the era where a woman keeps saying her money is her money. Flush out such women from your life but also be ready to do house chores. Share the job if you want your family to survive.) |
