⚡VLADIMIR PUTIN:

"We cannot rely on and exploit others, as the United States does.

Every year, the United States has a $1 trillion trade deficit.

What is this? I believe everyone present here will understand what I mean.

This is a modern version of neocolonialism.

By using the dollar’s monopolistic status, the United States consumes $1 trillion more annually than it produces.

It extracts these resources from other countries.

We spoke about the pandemic period earlier.

What did they do?

I do not recall the exact amount of money the United States printed, but it totalled over $5 trillion.

By the way, Europe printed an estimated 3.4 trillion euros.

What did they do next?

They circulated all these banknotes domestically and then started buying foods on the global food market.

They absorbed all these resources within their country, acting like a vacuum cleaner, and for the first time in many years, they became net food buyers and importers, rather than exporters.

As a result, global food inflation skyrocketed.

However, we cannot behave in the same way, and we do not monopolise the global currency market, the way the US dollar is doing.

We have never acted like colonialists or neo-colonialists.

In this case, we should, of course, rely on our economic potential and assess it realistically, which is what we are doing.

Naturally, we are considering diversification in order to balance the current industrial situation, the real economy and the future situation.

This is how everything is developing."
OMG!

See president with a heart!

See how he's telling the world what he can also do but doesn't want to do because it's a demonic way of remaining relevant and at the top.

The US is like a queen ant that does nothing but consumes from others.

💥 "1 BRICs currency will be worth $55 dollar in U.S. dollar. The US dollar will no longer be the world’s reserve currency.

This will destroy the U.S. economy as our buying power for imports will put us in a position of weakness. This is what the Federal Reserve did by creating a fiat currency and turning the American people into debt slaves.

it was the original poster who said you would have 1700 expenses out of 2000. Note that 1700 GBP quality of life in the UK would beat 500k NGN quality of life in Nigeria.

your savings do not matter as they aren't expenses. you can choose to spend your 300 GBP savings in Nigeria and spend your 100k NGN savings in the UK.
Is your statement from real life experiences or assumptions?

Please do the arithmetic for me, how can someone living on 500k live a comfortable life in Nigeria, because the last time I checked a flight ticket to London for holiday is over a million, a comfortable SUV is over 10 million, rent for a 2 bed flat in Ajah or anywhere in the island is over 2mllion, and installing Solar system in flat is over 4million I never put children school fees and the rest. Please break it down for me.
First, I hope you understand the difference between comfortable living and luxurious living?

People that go abroad for holidays and use above ₦10m cars are living above comfortable lifestyle.

Now lets turn the table around, can someone earning £2k pounds in the UK live the lifestyle you painted above?
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 500k Per Month In Nigeria Or 2000pounds Per Month In The Uk by Procashtips(m): 5:55pm On Jun 10, 2024
ceejayluv:
Well, for the averages, the 2k can be gotten in one job. Add the possibility of having multiple jobs and pooling resources with a spouse, then the current exchange rate.... there's a real feasibility of of sending home up to a million naira monthly for savings and projects.
With a spouse, household income becomes 4k

Same can be argued for those in Nigeria.

With a spouse, household income becomes ₦1m per month.

Now if their aim in the UK is to come jamanjaman and not for permanent relocation, then they don't need to spend on comfort in the UK and can easily save and send alot to Nigeria to establish something.

They can rent a shared apartment and spend as little as possible on living expenses.

See that's the problem we have as Nigerians.
We need to be well informed before you put your head dive into any situation.
Even in Nigeria we have what is called minimum wage. And we know what the minimum wage does in Nigeria when it comes to bills.
So also it is in the UK. As per minimum wage is about 2500 which comes to the final advice I will give you to land yourself a better paying job offer before you japa. Geta good skill a marketable one for that matter ND improve on it.
Only then will you be able to live above flot and bove the poverty line in the UK.
Know this know peace.
Sorry, are you advising me or you're taking in general because I was actually correcting that fellow who didn't know that £2333 is the average earnings in the UK and not what he wrote.

There are Nigerian diasporas doing quite well in business and professional endeavors and it's relatively easier for them to attain much more than what I postulated. Mind you, it's the current exchange rate that made 300 Pounds to look that attractive.
Professionals don't earn 2000

Meaning they were well to do in Nigeria before relocating.

2000 is for the averages. No professionals or business guys earn 2000, maybe in days or weeks.

We are talking average earners, not professionals.

there is no error of conversion for savings

error of conversion applies to expenses.

your savings on 2k GBP per month is higher than your income in Nigeria according to the guy
Are you saving it here so you can spend it there?

The same 300 you're saying here, they can also save the % overthere.

Question goes back to, can you actually live a comfortable life with 1700 out of 2000?

Someoen earning ₦500k can comfortably save ₦80k+₦100k too while living a more comfortable life than the one earning 2000 and saving 300

It's kinda Fair... The aim of jakpa is mostly to repatriate something back home and establish for retirement. for now, anyone abroad that can send 600k a month or more to his savings account in Nigeria is better than someone earning same 600k in Nigeria.
You're assuming that 300 would be free from 2000 right?

Using assumption to plan life?

If it was that easy, all those who japaed would have built houses in Nigeria within 2-3yrs.

I laugh.

Okay well let me drop my 1pound advice.

If you live in Nigeria and you get a job opportunity in the UK for less than 3900 per month then sit your ass down in 9ja and endure the stress a little more. Anything less that 3500 pounds per month is not worth risking it.

After bills payments every month you don't have anything to write about savings it's just like working a circle with no progress report. Something goes for isa and Canada too if you say otherwise no problem. Happy traveling just sell all your properties carry like 15k pounds extra for bills or you done for.
Even the UK citizens living there won't take the job not because they don't want to its because it's not worth it.
The average salary in the UK is £2500 so how easy is it for an immigrant to get a £3500+ salary?

Earnings - 2k
Expenses - 1.7k

Difference (Savings) - 300£ (570,000 Naira with today's exchange rate).

This is with health insurance, access to more opportunities to progress, security and free education up till secondary school level .

30k minimum wage was not set last year. The year it was set, a minimum wage earner would buy more than a bag of rice if I'm not mistaken. Today 62k can't buy you a bag or rice.
I don't get you. Prior to 2011-2015, minimum wage was ₦18k i think, then rice was ₦5k-₦8k per bag, then rice went to ₦18-₦25k some years later when minimum wage went to ₦30k.

It was in 1st qtr of 2023 that a bag of rice went above ₦30k.

Second quarter saw it go about ₦40k( when Tinubu took over), 3rd qtr above ₦50k, been going up since then.

So what did I type in my previous comment that you're trying to correct?

⚡200,000 CHILD MARRIAGES IN THE U.S - SOME AS YOUNG AS 10 YEARS OLD

More than 200,000 children were married in the US over the past 15 years, averaging nearly 14,000 per year.

Girls as young as 10 years old were among the minors who wedded under legal loopholes.

87% of these child marriages involved girls, often to much older men.

Efforts to ban child marriage face resistance due to religious customs, such as in New Jersey where Governor Chris Christie vetoed a bill, citing conflicts with religious practices.
