Concreting has been done for block 2 first floor slab, also. Next stage is setting out at 1st floor level, casting of kickers and standing of first floor column reinforcements and then formwork.

We recently embarked on demolition exercise to pave way for commencement of construction activities on block 1, the hitherto existing structure has been brought down and rubbles evacuated.

Next update for this block is formwork to 1st floor slab and beams

I have decided to update blocks 1 & 2 together and also blocks 3 & 4 under the existing two threads ealier created. I see this as a better approach so we can easily pick up where we left off. For clarity each picture will have an embedded text stating which block it is.




This thread therefore will cover blocks 3 & 4

As a matter of fact I have equally considered it time consuming to create separate threads for all these blocks, I will now henceforth update this project under this thread.


Any better opinion is however welcomed.

Apologies for my inability to update this thread for the past 5 months or so, a lot has happened since then and we have been able to forecast as well as surmount the challenges as is expected of a professional. The uncontrolled rise in cost of construction materials was highly unprecedented and has forced the developer to do some review, fluctuation wise and all which requires time, necessary deliberations and approvals from stakeholders.

This hurdle has been surmounted and projects is progressing timeously.



General Progress Report

Block 3

Last update on block 3 was MEP for first floor, currently we are at the third floor for this block

Block 2

Last update was on ground floor slab, currently we are set to cast the second floor of this block and of course proceed with the 3rd suspended floor.


Block 1

Demolition of existing structure done

Bulk excvation done preparatory for pile point setting out.

Pile points setting out done

Pilling to commence immediately




Block 4

Last update was on the pilling operation, we have since completed the pilling and the neccessary load tests, pile caps and ground beams have been cast. Ground floor slab also done. This means we have completed foundation stage for this block. Currently, cutting, bending and tying of ground floor column reinforcements for this block is at 100%. We have been cleared by LABSCA to proceed with formworks and casting of the columns.


This means that we have maintained traction on all the block despite the challenges.
