Let me clear the air about some issues.
I did this recruitment process last year and even got to the semi final stage, which is the business games.

Now, you can only get two mails almost immediately after applying. First mail is to proceed to the questionnaire stage, second mail is for the aptitude test stage. Now, it's after this aptitude test stage that your CV and other stuff are going to be looked at and all. So, it's very impossible for someone to claim they got a success mail immediately after the aptitude test. The next mail that comes after the aptitude test is for the video interview and Good Bear exercise, and after that, comes the Business games, which happens to be the second to the last stage.

This is how it was last year, except they have changed their process, which I doubt.

AB Inbev wouldn't send congratulatory message without telling you about the next step.

I did mine yesterday. There were about 5 CR applicants there too. I think they shortlisted about 10 applicants for each role.

I just got a call from MTN that I was supposed to be in the interview today. I have been rescheduled for tomorrow.

I also did math in my undergrad and applying to a mix of MSc and PhD, however, I'm concentrating on stochastic process/probability theory/financial mathematics.

You should focus on middle tier schools (<4.0) and their specific research areas.

Apart from the loan, I don't think an MFE programme really suit my taste. A quant analyst would require more than the course work of an MFE.

Nevertheless, I might still opt for an MFE. I'm also considering the 5 years of doing a PhD on the other hand.
You're applying strictly to MFE programmes?

There are many others...

Most of these programmes hardly provide financial support. They consider it an investment on the part of the applicant.
I somehow agree with them but I don't think I want to take a student loan for it.
