I think it doesn't make sense for man to be alone in the whole universe, it is too big for that.
I believe scientist might and probably will never find other type of life in another planet if they keep using Man as a judge for life.
I believe other forms of life could exist in other planets, either before, currently or in the near future but they might not take the form of man or we can't notice them. Another thing is that our technology is based on Man's perspectives of reality for example for those that believe in ghost, spirits and those kind of things , our current technology can't detect them nor find them. So imagine the if those kind of beings are the ones in other planets, we might not be able to detect them.

I think the universe is too big just for one set of life.
I know we are not alone.

maybe if we are able to get to other solar systems in the universe

Inventions sometimes look alike,but they are different...for example...newton stated some equations of motion used even till today,even after other scientists worked on mechanics...
INVENTION simply means creation of an objects or a thing that rings a bell:gets peoples attention and is of use to the people
STEPS TO INVENT
1)CREATIVITY: Be a creative person i.e see things in a refoarmed shape to be useful
2)IMAGINE: look around you and think of what you want to create....it might even look stupid,but who knows;it might do great things.
3)STUDY/EXAMINE: know a lot about what you want to create;for example if I want to make a plane ;I know it should definitely have propellers.
4)GATHER TOOLS: get the things you need to create you imagination.you might also need help from other friends who share the same imagination.
5)MAKE YOUR SPECIAL: even if others have done what you want to do before you......make your own look different i.e you can add cool stuff to your object.
6)PRESENT YOUR DESIGN: show your design so people can recognise you.
7)BE SELF RELIABLE: don't rely on factors like;fund,government,department,tools needed....etc

since the ball rebounds dat means it goes up,thus making it to have accelaration due to gravity (g) to be negative.
g= -10
h=0.67
V=0 (because the ball is going up)
substitute values in d formular...
0=U^2 - 2*10*0.67
U^2=13.4
so U= square root of 13.4
So U=3.66.
