TravelRe: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by 03: 12:11am On Jan 30, 2017
@abujaniv Thanks for your response and the clarification . I hope I will be able to convince the visa officer that I would surely return after my visit. Thanks for taking time to read and respond to questions.
abujaniv:
Hi 03.
First, a small note on terms. The person who interviews you for a visa is a visa officer or consular officer. Their official title is consul or vice consul. A "counselor" is somebody you might visit for psychological issues. The word "consular" is adjectival: it must precede a noun. For example, consular officer or consular work.
The existence of a pending immigration visa application is not in itself a disqualification from obtaining a non-immigrant visa. However, it is likely to be addressed at the interview.

@abujaniv

I was once denied a visa a few years ago because the counselor was not satisfied with my intent. I currently have a immigrant visa petition with a priority date in 2010.

Does the immigrant visa petition have effect against my eligibility to get a non immigrant visa to the united states?

Thanks

Thanks vicadex07. A friend informed me that if the case is taken to the court it may take almost forever.

That iswhat scares me.

vicadex07:
Find a Good and competent lawyer and try and get all available evidence regarding the transaction readily available. Ask around from your friends and families. Someone should be able to connect you to a highly placed law enforcement officer. Involve try and use all your available connections to pursue this matter

Hello Nairalanders,

I strongly need help on a matter that has been disturbing my mind for quite a while now. I supplied a MOBIL filling Station around IBA estate, PMS(Petrol) sometime in April 2013.

The supply only lasted about a month and half and for some reasons the manager and the MD parted ways. They usually made payments to me on a daily basis and sometimes I go to receive cash. They owe me a balance of a little above one million naira. The MD said I should go and get the balance from the manager and vice versa.

I reported the incidence to the police and he manager was invited , from his written statement the MD was also invited. He said the manager stole his money and even if he wants to pay he wil pay about five hundred thousand plus. Months have gone by and nothing has happened. I went back to report to the police station and he was sent an invitation letter on getting to his filling station none of his staff wanted to receive the letter (I heard that he's asked them not to receive any letters from the police) The manager says the MD is intentionally punishing him and he has gone to all of the MD's friends most of them promise to help and after a few days the matter gets dropped like a hot piece of metal.

I have been to the Citizens Mediation Center and an invite has been written for both the manager and the MD for this week, since I know they at the filling station would not receive letters. I have been advised to use a courier company to deliver the invite.

I need help on how not to loose my money. It's been more than a year and there's no iota of progress.
Thanks all.

Yeah right. You just bought the sim card when you heard there was a promo going on.(anyways, that's the reason for the promo) They want more people on the network . maybe you should follow the instructions properly.

What I find disturbing about the whole issue is that, now the network is jam packed and I spend more trying to reach out to people using sms because the damn phone doesn't connect easily.
