You are correct the price should not drop, but you will be shocked that it will - why?.. because government is going to subsidize it through the backdoor. You see, because the inward transactions will be done in naira, government would be more willing to pay for subsidy in naira than in $$$. The reason NNPC would be the sole buyer of Dangotes oil, we would never know how much NNPC buys from Dangote, thats going to eb a well-kept secret. FG just cannot allow the free-market forces to control the price of energy, no Government does if they have control over it. if they do, you wont even buy it at N1500 per liter. MEEVEET: |
Obi talks too much and is everywhere, if he is serious about 2027 he needs to firstly be elusive. People dont respect anything that is in abundance. |
I disagree, Dangote himself is only bluffing. Except for the proximity of his refinery to west africa, which may encourage WA countries to patronize him, marketers in Nigeria may choose to buy refined oil from Malaysia and still sell cheaper then Dangote, case in point is the cost of cement. If the FG allows for the mass importation of cement, Dangote and BUA would run out of business. Dangote has done well, his refinery would be a game changer, however FG have to protect him else the free-market forces would kill him. it is in the interest of Nigeria, Nigerian and Dangote that is refinery is able to supply us all, however someone would have to pay for the over head cost of not allowing a free market, and that would have to be subsidy. But hey, better to subsidize in Naira than look for $$$ thats scarce. casualobserver: |
FG is going to have to subsidize the supply from Dangote, thats the only way he would be able to compete. The transactions would be done in Naira so I see a bright future for the Nigerian economy |
what baffles me most is that she comes on social media to post this, isn't it bad enough she is into runs? must she also ruin her future and of those that might be related to her by posting it online to get likes and trend, ignorance and stupidity combined into a brainless being. |
50 million what, she should be very clear.. |
They would never play in Nigeria, pride and shame wont allow them do that. They not welcomed anyway. Mali is a good option, in that soaring heat. |
The only reason Dangote has been able to get this far at all is because he is a core son of the North, No Yoruba, Ibo or SS person despite his wealth can attempt this sort of disruption. A lot of global players in the oil & gas sector just dont want Nigeria to work, the degree of corruption in the oil sector just wont allow it. |
you are begging evil, she is not ready yet.. |
my gut feeling tells me its gonna over work self, out of all the bad news coming from that country this might just be the game changer.. Might! saviourGeorge: |
They can never deport her, Simon Ekpa would send F35s to fight Canada is they dare try it. |
Her statements have far grievous consequences that what she might have envisaged. Would Yoruba/Benin people be willing to buy food stuffs from their Igbo customers. It may elicit some jokes on the street of at workplaces, but it's not laughing matter, this is stuff that breeds genocide. Everyone is smiling at one another while sharpening their knives quietly. This girl is seriously searching for something, I hope she finds it. |
You are frustrated because you are broke, with just a little money, you will be appealing to ladies of all sizes and heights, and you wont hate ladies so much. CyrusVI: |
I prefer the fact that he is a defensive minded coach, as long as he sticks to the 3-4-3 that got Nigeria to the finals he would be fine. You dont need to play beautiful football to win games. The NFF currently cannot get a better coach consider her financial constraints and corrupt ridden status. |
Dr Olukoya just made a claim, and his words were "I stand to be corrected, but I think MFM has the highest number of 1st class graduates in Nigeria", I am sure you saw the figures presented, the onus is on you to disprove it with your figures, simple. thesicilian: |
Jesus!!!!... The man is doing Gods work despite his state. |
The protests under GEJ were political, this won't be any different. The Elites in Nigeria pull only two types of strings: political or religious Vinnie2000: |
To those that have called for the breakup of the Nation this might turn out to be the beginning of the end. If the north protests, its more political than for economic or hardship reasons. If it gets out of hand, then the properties of southerners start getting attacked and reprisals in the south might follow. Its important to stay at alert regardless of where one is in Nigeria, these are perilous times |
The OPs name already shows his intentions, nothing good can come out of his narrative. All that matters is that Tunde is Nigerian and he is doing a great job. |
The sort of protests that may turn violent are never planned, there are mostly as a result of the public's spontaneous reaction to an event. The planned protests would be very peaceful. |
shouldnt the Mods ban that account for posting a lie , bring down the thread or create another to dispute it? seunmsg: |
Accepting to a DNA test would put all this to rest, if she has refused but rather would throw shades on socials, then she most likely is hiding something. |
I hope the Government is wise enough to compensate and keep Reno on their side, you sincerely dont want to make enemies with someone like him. He throws around a lot of details that those who dislike him hate to admit |
Happy Birthday Seun, wishing you many great years ahead. |
People have to be fed Prof, every other permutation can come later. Its uncertain if 150 days would be sufficient to solve the food scarcity crisis. |
U lie!..they know. the last time I was in SA, the first thing the immigration office deduced after looking at my green passport was my tribe.. why he profiled me based on my tribe and not just nationality we both knew. I just shook my head, took my passport and walked off. hammer567: |

You see how complicated Nigeria's problems are?.. let no one deceive you, Nigeria's problem is its greedy citizenry and not solely leadership. We are a greedy and self-centered people. |
