Maybe "making first class" is making it in life for OP.

Since its first semester 100level you can.
You just have to hit 4.80GPAs atleast continuously. Afterall you are aiming First Class not Best Graduating Student. So you should end up around 4.5 something.

Worst case scenario you get a 4.4 something. That alongside other side skills aside MCB, volunteering works and other leadership skills among others can give you a good international scholarship if that is what you wish for (P.S, these are needed even if you have a first class to get a scholarship).

Nowadays the good and well packaged CV and not the the boring dy/dx CV gives the scholarship.
