I meant those that felt like resuming by October can do and maybe their department can lias with SPGS to extend our lectures with few weeks after the normal 13weeks from the school senate and that will be a plus for those on campus already.
Information from anybody should be respected rather the source being criticized, some people were criticized and laughed at here just for giving information but not their source of information is right. Always let’s treat every individual here with dignity and respect.

although they never start lectures but ask them if they told them to come for lectures last week and ask what meeting they concluded on having on this Friday

Infact, that my question? Because i don't think an institution like unilag will run an academic session without an harmonized academic calendar.

am surprise hearing all that until my department also told me come back to check timetable next week, am not hear to be insulted but since the purpose of this group is to share info that will help us, so I decided to do so. And like I said this might be difficult from department to department, department that offers more practical like my might decided to resume or maybe that why they’re planning to start lectures soon and those with little or no practical might not start lectures anytime soon.

My own question is that, is it possible to run an acedemic session without an acedemic calender? Because some department are not yet ready to resume? Will some now resume and leave others.

I believe those people have everything well planned, I message PG school help desk and the response I got to my mail was “visit your department for lectures timetable” and that prime to be on campus yesterday. Also, I friend of my in Natural Resources Management told me their lectures and I quote “we lecturers are ready for you, left to you to let us know when you’re ready for lectures”.

Am no going against of point of the possibility of running a session without academic calendar but what i heard yesterday on campus is what I share so that we won’t just sit at home while some in various departments receives lectures. Lastly, their might be a WhatsApp group chat that has been created for those that has registered with the department and some of us might not be in the group just because we haven’t registered with the department. Kindly, make every necessary confirmation on campus, registered at your department and by that you will know those you’re together with for your course of study.

bro forget about how unilag operate, every institution calendar has Ben jeopardize by Covid-19, kindly visit your department for clarification because am talking based on what I was told at my own department yesterday.

Just a quick one, forget what anybody told you here, visit your department because each department still has different update; was at my department to complete my registration yesterday and I am to check back next week for lectures timetable because I was told PG school no dey go on brake at all this because of what Covid-19 has cause. Visit your department my dear bro/sis to get update and if you’ve completed your payment and has every document needed to start am registration just carry them go student bursary department to sign and make registration with them then proceed to your department to complete the final process of the registration but kindly go along with at least #20,000 to you department (your department might charge less by the way).

Everyone is giving info based on what we heard, I saw someone said he/she called PG office and they said lectures as started and the department said lectures never started; so tell me which of those comments the fellow should follow. Issues like these are meant to showcase and no one is paying for another person, you can keep to the info you get either from school or from portal while I keep to my and whoever which to make use of my ideas of getting in contact with the department can do without me mandating anybody. All I believed is that dem go resume one day.

I never mandated you to go and resume, I never resume as well so, you calm down with your response. All am saying is for people to go ahead and get updated about what me going on in their department so that we won’t be left behind. Now check below a forwarded message which was sent to a friend of my by her course PG coordinator to their group chat; so, everyone is left with his/her opinion and ideologies either to take action base on information gotten or not. The last time I checked the purpose of this group, it was for shearing information relating to the PG school and not to come here and attack another person based on the update shared bro.

better get update from your PG course coordinator and stop all this lectures can’t start, my own coordinator told me and one other person lectures should have started but they never get any student that has registered fully with the department and as soon as we do, lectures commence immediately but everyone is left with his/her own opinion

I think they’re still upgrading the website or so, couldn’t print as well and needed to submit to my coordinator soon because he said lectures should have started and without full departmental registration person can’t attend lectures

Good evening everyone, I hope you’re doing great?, just a brief update; I friend of my informed me that her PG coordinator which she meant during screening sent to their group chat that lectures has started yesterday in her department but was shock then picked up my phone, browse through unilag PG coordinator to get any information for my own department and I was luck to find him because I already knew his name during the screening. Sent him a mail to confirm about the start of lectures and I got a reply from him today. Ready on the attached image what his response was (my advice to you all is to reach out to your department PG coordinator and make enquiry about the start of your lectures)
