Just wait a bit , go back by Friday next week.They are only trying to extort you of your money, they know your passport is available or about to be ready ,go back again and demand your passport, if you don't like to wait too long on that day,you can sort the officers 1k or 2k as your spirit leads ,ask him/her to help U get it out.
Give him/her the slip (little paper) U where given after biometric,there's a number written there for collection purpose .
I did mine few months ago at Alausa too .

I have already picked an appointment date , but application status still shows waiting for approval. I am unable to reschedule appointment. Please can I still go for the appointment on the date I picked? Or will I be attended to without rescheduling if I decided to wait till application is vetted?

Go there on the date you picked,and you will be attended to,most people didnt get approval before proceeding for capturing.

Hello, I just wanted to ask after doing everything at the alausa office did they give you a document, because I was given one, and it said that the collection date is in october 20th, i finished the renewal process at the place on july 28th. Now this is going to be a long time, I just want to know if you got this same document and it also said that the collection date was also far away

Yes a piece of paper with the collection date on it.
But the date shouldn't be something to worry about as the passport will be ready before then, Did mine (biometric 3rd June)
Passport was ready by july
Got a message by text to come get my passport on 10th july

You should know better that Mexico aren't really a safe place to wander around ,Just visit crowded places and hot spot will do you good

This was exactly my experience at Ikoyi ppt office. The officer that took the 10k from me was smart ; he refused transfer and insisted on cash.
They start frustrating you from servicom and indeed have different stamps for DIY and “officer is helping me” at servicon and that’s where they start to frustrate you

My pain is just that 10k is simply extortion at that ikoyi ppt, At Alausa they tell you(DIY applicants)simply to appreciate . .

I just collected my passport today 14th july.
The processing was done online:
Application Date: 29/05/2025
Biometric capturing: 11/06/2025
Date issued (on the passport): 18/06/2025
Date I collected: 14/07/2025.
Total cost: #52k (50 for application+2k bank charges).

I left Ikoyi office few hours ago. Paid 10k to an officer to help me after waiting endlessly (over 1 hours 30 minutes) for the officers in servicom to check and validate my online application documents( appointment, and basically look at my old passports)

After they eventually signed it, I and some others who did DIY were asked to go to one hall with no one basically attending to us. Sorted an officer 10k and was able to do biometrics immediately and left.

If you did DIY, the stamp they’ll use for you at servicom office is different from the one they use if an “officer” is doing it for you. What this implies is that every office you enter with your documents, once they see that stamp of DIY, they will abandon it, frustrate you and waste your time endlessly. If you are willing to spend the whole day there then perhaps no need to sort any officer sha

if this is true then I had advice other prospective applicants In Lagos to make use of the Alausa (Ikeja ) centre, The officers are helpful without asking for a dime.
Did mine there and only had to part with 1k ,a free will gesture of thank you to the officer at Servicom and swiftly proceeded for capturing ,spent not more than 3hrs at the centre even after being late and delayed for not coming at the actual date of capturing.
Did CApturing on the 3rd of June and today 10th July I received a Sms (message) from the Alausa office that my passport is ready for collection.

Regret ke! They are the big winners , win or lose they are cashing out big time, after all it's our oil money , but on other hand as an ADC member , to be a contentious member ,you need bring something to the table

I asked the officer who gave me the slip (ERN number) when I should return, she said I will get a call from them.

Suprised you weren't given a small paper slip for collection date,Although from observation that paper is meant to control applicants from coming at a particular day which may result to crowd.Did mine in June ,and paper slip carries August for collection.

I have been reading and seeing many people that captured in May have collected already. Though i paid for home delivery. Does it mean, it will be delivered to my door step on the collection date as stated on the slip after capturing. Please i need clarification, thanks.
Processed DIY at NIS office in Alimosho but its still writing pending production on the portal

I believed your passport is ready and at the immigration centre you did biometric,but since you paid for home delivery ,call the NIS number to make complaint ,that way is likely to fast track the delivery.

I faced similar situation during my application,but I didn't realise it until I got to the immigration centre for capturing , during vetting ,I was asked my place of birth , my place of birth is Lagos but Nimc registered my hometown as my place of birth .I think the only reason I skipped that hurdle was because it was a renewal ,meaning my old passport also had my hometown as my place of birth .
At this point I had no choice than to continue with the application and proceed for capturing.

Very funny guys selling phones there,I could remember how a friend who bought a phone there had to keep going back there to complain of the phone he bought , they can never refund you,least they do is change the phone to another problematic phone and the circles continue till you give up and accept your loss.

I suffered almost same predicament few years ago, although didn't have full knowledge of what it was, I started chewing garlic ,mostly place the garlic at that exact spot and bit it ,doing this allows the gas to penetrate that angle . Did this every night for a week before bedtime .
