aswani: I doubt it, the better teams don't need any BS long route to stay competitive. In fact, this longer route is fraught with danger of injuries etc.
England, Spain, France, Brazil and Argentina. Even if they don't play for a year, they will still do well in the tournament.
We should have won our qualifying group outright if we are a serious team. We should note that this team has not really been good , they've had problems playing a particular kind of pattern, I just hope they use this opportunity to understand a play pattern and build up a formidable offensive and defensive kind of play. |

EponObi: If only they put in serious work in the group stage, they won't be going through this stress. Take about making hay while the sun shines.
If only...
It's even more annoying that our group wasn't difficult. Mteww.
Na so dem lose WCQ to Angola in 2006 - na that qualifier pain me pass in my entire life. I was still small then. It was that era Nigerians carry the Super Eagles on their head like gala. That sweet era when entire neighborhood go on lock down to watch Eagles matches - when the street get deserted and you hear screams roaring from different homes when they score. Oh damn! Good old days.
If NEPA take light like this, you will see people bring out transistor radios to listen to the match commentary.
Lol... If time for match is getting close like this and NEPA never bring light, you see people get stressed. Omo, Nigerians love the Super Eagles then.
If we lose matches like this, if you see how people we become sad like kilode
Thank God for growth. I don't even give a F about football nowadays. I support Barca and I rarely even know when they have match not to talk about the Super Eagles.
That WCQ knockout, na from afar I go follow am. Make nobody stress me. Remember those good old days nothing like viewing center ,NEPA take light ,we march straight to their office demanding they put on the light or we bring down their gate before the match commence. How things changed rapidly..... |

Penguin2: If we were to judge the matter by law and legality, Wike will win.
But this matter is complicated.
Vice Admiral AZ Gambo is senior to the current CDS, General Oluyode, and by that, the CDS cannot go against his orders. This is simple military tradition and precedence.
The only person that can give a counter order to the orders of Vice Admiral Gambo is the Commander-In-Chief, Tinubu, but even Tinubu must be careful because there’s a way he’d handle the matter in favour of the law (Wike) and he would anger the rank and file of the military establishment which will not be good at all.
Remember he just survived a coup.
There’s a reason people like AZ Gambo are left alone to do their thing as far as their actions are not very much against the law or threat to public peace and order.
How much does Wike and FCT ministry want to generate from the General registering for his development levy. It’s a totally unnecessary fracas.
I won’t be surprised if Wike is sacked because of this. Sorry to say, your input on this matter is totally whack,to add to it you goofed saying Wike could be sacked. |

africaBlogworld: Passport Fee: ₦100k Law, ₦150k Demand
The Federal Government of Nigeria recently announced that the new cost of an international passport would be ₦100,000. Yet, when ordinary Nigerians approach the immigration service, they are told to bring ₦150,000 or risk endless delays. This is not just a case of inefficiency, it is daylight extortion.
Why should Nigerians pay more than the official fee? Why is there always an extra “hidden cost” in our institutions?
The sad truth is that this quiet robbery has become normal. No one is talking, no one is protesting, and those meant to serve the people are the very ones exploiting them.
This is more than about passports, it is a reflection of the moral decline in our public service. When corruption is legalized at the desk, what hope is left for the ordinary citizen? You can report those involved if you have the evidence to prove your assertion,Many are also going through with the DIY process without much hassle |

adioolayi: Hmmmm....
What the Band A, B, C, D, E has achieved, in my own opinion, is that the NERC are "taxing" the rich, to subsidized the "privilege".
This is a common practice in developed countries, where you tax the rich the more.
If the subsidy is completely removed ...it doesn't mean Band A will pay less...NO ..it only mean Band B, C, D and E will have to be paying what Band A is currently paying! Whereas, Band A areas enjoy more stable electricity, compare to Band B, C, D ..
Make dem think am well o You said the truth! |

I experienced same during vetting at Servicom when asked of my place of birth , what I filled on my document was different to what i uploaded. The Servicom official that attended to me had to sign on it with a red pen ,my thought was for correction sake , because I told her what was on the file was different to what I filled myself, I was vetted and captured same day. |

lilbarracuda: How was it at alausa? i have an appointed there next week. since i DIY i know they wont reply me in good time can i go there hours before appointment time because its looking like they don't follow the time At Alausa, on the day of biometric, Diy applicants are attended to just same way those that do express (through immigration officials) what matters is that your file should be vetted on time (go early in the morning) so you can join those on the queue for capturing. You need be sound minded during the vetting process , questions are going to be asked in random to what you filled on your form, answer correctly,so the servicom officer dont question your Diy process and be ready to appreciate with something (1k will do good). Your vetted document will be collected at the queue and you and some others (8-10 applicants) would be called upon to proceed to the capturing room. If you make it there early enough ,your stay shouldn't exceed 1hr and half. |
