The Federal government of Nigeria has donated assorted of Foodstuffs to be given to 26,067 households in Nigeria.

This was was made known by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq on Sunday while briefing the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Kadafur in Maiduguri.

Kingsparo Blog learnt that the relief is for Flood and Boko Haram victims in Borno State.

Quoting Farouq:

I am here on behalf of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and members of the National Humanitarian Coordination Committee (NHCC), to discuss the immediate humanitarian needs of your state.

“I will also like to use this opportunity to applaud the efforts of the State Government in providing food and non-food items to its vulnerable population; as well as your willingness to work with and support Humanitarian stakeholders providing humanitarian interventions in your state.

“Your Excellency, we have noted and are aware that due to the recent restriction of movement to curtail the COVID-19 pandemic and inaccessibility of communities due to floods and insecurity; vulnerable persons, especially the IDPs, may require further support in terms of basic necessities including food from federal government,”

The minister said the food items included 26,067 bags of 12.5kg rice; 26,067 bags of 25kg beans; 26,067 bags of 12.5kg maize/millet; 1,304 bags of 20kg salt 2,607 – 20L kegs of vegetable oil 4,345 cartons of seasoning cubes and 2,173 cartons of tin tomatoes.

She urged the state government to provide the necessary information required to enable the Nigerian Air Force to the drop food and non-food items in locations that were inaccessible due to insecurity and floods in the state.

Mrs Roseline was reported to have allegedly died from Childbirth complications.

According to reports, Kingsparo Blog learnt that the incident occurred just two days after celebrated her birthday in Abuja.

Reports says that her birthday was on September 1st and she died on the 3rd of September.

Friends and loved ones of a Nigerian woman who identified as Roseline David have taken to social media to mourn her death.


One of her friends, Salihu Medinat wrote;

”Celebrated her birthday on 1st September, 2020 and died with the baby on 3rd September,2020 while given birth. What a painful death.
R.I.P Roseline David”

Kingsparo Blog reports that some travellers were allegedly abducted and others shot by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway on Friday, September 4.

It was gathered that the gunmen blocked the road near Olam company, about 28 kilometres to Kaduna, abducted many travellers and injured those who attempted to flee.

Narrating his experience, Ibrahim Baba Suleiman, the spokesperson of the Islamic group, Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'a, Wa Ikamatis Sunnah, Nigeria (Jibwis) who escaped the attack, said theat the incident took place around 2pm.

According to Mr Suleiman, a fleeing soldier was shot on the chest by the gunmen while a couple sustained gunshot wounds.

He said the incident had kept more than 1, 000 motorists stranded on the road. It wasn't until an hour later that some soldiers and policemen numbering 15, chased the gunmen and cleared the road for the motorists to pass.
