Politics / Francis Ottah Agbo Is An APC Mole In PDP, He Should Be Watched Closely - Group by Ptreat(f): 7:13pm On Feb 20, 2022
Francis Ottah Agbo is an APC mole in PDP, he should be watched closely - Group

A group, under the aegis of Apa-Ogbozu Youths Vanguard has described Francis Ottah Agbo, the lawmaker representing Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo, otherwise known as Enone Federal Constituency as a mole in the Peoples Democratic Party.
Ottah represents Enone Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the national assembly on the platform of the PDP.
However, the group claimed that Ottah is only a PDP member in the day but works with APC members at night. The youth group said with the electioneering in sight, there is the pertinent need for the PDP to take conscious steps towards sanitizing its system against moles who may have been surreptitiously planted by the APC to wreak havoc in the party.
In a statement on Saturday, the group through its Coordinator, Akor Agbo, warned that Ottah should not and cannot be allowed to further his selfish desire against the will and survival of the party in Ado and by implication, the entire Enone and Benue State.
The statement reads below.
Age-long, it is unethical to be a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and be working for the interest of the ruling party, the All Progressives Party, APC. This is the sinister case of the member representing the good people of Enone (Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu) Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly, Mr. Francis Ottah Agbo.

Recall that during the composition of the 9th National Assembly on the 11th June, 2019, Hon Agbo connived with members of the ruling party, APC, voted for all the elected leaders presented by the party against the wish of his party, PDP in order to be rewarded with a House committee Chairman, which he was later compensated as Chairman, House Committee on Drugs and Narcotics. The choice of this committee and the travails of Mr. Agbo as Chairman leaves much to be worried about but that will be subject for another day.

Similarly, Francis Ottah again connived with APC lawmakers and some of his few cohorts from other minority parties to form a minority Caucus for which he became Spokesman of the group against the wish of his party, PDP.

Recall that, on the 4th July, 2019, an incident broke out in the House after the Speaker, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila read a communication he averred was signed by over ninety (90) members of the minority parties informing the House of their selection of the Minority leadership, after ignoring a list sent by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) wherein Hon. O.K. Chinda (PDP: Rivers) was nominated as the Minority Leader of the House.

Before the Speaker’s announcement, Hon. O.K. Chinda raised a Point of Order of privilege referring the House to the letter from the minority caucus announcing the appointment of the Minority Leaders of the House and stated that the list did not have the input of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) which is the largest minority party in the House. He stated that the (PDP) had sent a list communicating to the House those who had been chosen as the minority leadership.

The Speaker acknowledged the Point of Order, but observed that there was no breach of either the House Rules or any member’s privilege in the minority parties in their nomination of their leaders, as it complied with the provisions of the Standing Orders. He therefore proceeded to announce the principal officers of the minority parties as follows:

Hon Ndudi Godwin Elumelu- Minority Leader (PDP: Delta),

Hon Toby Okechukwu – Deputy Minority Leader (PDP: Enugu),

Hon Gideon Gwani Lucas -Minority Whip (PDP:Kaduna),

Hon Adesegun Adekoya Abdul-Majid – Deputy Minority Whip (PDP:Ogun)

Hon Francis Ottah Agbo--Spokesman of the minority caucus (PDP: Benue).

Subsequently, a protest ensued while some aggrieved lawmakers attempted to take the mace. Hon Chinda and his supporters have stated they will not accept a situation where the majority party in the House will impose a minority leader on its members.

Coming back home, the same Ottah is inglorious working against the interest of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Few weeks ago, there was a PDP Caucus meeting that took place at the People's House Makurdi and one of the resolutions was that stakeholders of the party in each of the local government should go back to their local government areas and carry out zoning with the interest of the party first before any other individual consideration.

In Benue South today, one of the strongest political juggernauts that has been delivering the PDP during any election, from Ado through Okpokwu, Ogbadibo to Otukpo, Ohimini, Oju, Obi, Apa and Agatu is the incumbent Executive Chairman of Ado local Government, Hon James Oche. An emerging political leader that has been very loyal to the party, has paid his dues to the party and is ever ready to come to the rescue of the party any time any day.

For those who know the political intrigues, permutations and the ensuing violence that are characteristics of Ado, Enone and Benue South politics are calling for the retention of Hon James Oche for the interest of our party because of the 2023 general elections which vain leaders like Francis Ottah will be nowhere to be found during the elections.

As it is today in Ado and the entire Enone land, Hon James Oche has overwhelming political value than Hon Francis. Little wonder he is known as the capacity Chairman, having exerted capacity in delivering the party at all levels.

It is a breach of good conscience that Mr. Ottah for whom James Oche was persuaded and prevailed upon by the leaders and Elder statesmen to, in the interest of the party step down for, to become House of Representatives Member today will vow heels over head for Oche to be reconsidered for Chairman. The party as we all know is SUPREME and Ottah can only bark his inordinate intentions in antiquity.

Ottah should not and cannot be allowed to further his selfish desire against the will and survival of the party in Ado and by implication, the entire Enone and Benue State.

Politics / Another Lawmaker, Ottah From Benue Empowers Constituents With Cassava Stems by Ptreat(f): 9:04am On Nov 15, 2020
A Benue lawmaker, Francis Ottah Agbo, representing Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, recently distributed cassava stems to his constituents.
The lawmaker claimed the stems were hybrid.
His gesture, however, did not go down well with many of his constituents, who slammed him for only empowering them with cassava stems after many months in the Green Chamber.
Similarly, member representing Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Patrick Obalim-Udoba recently distributed hundreds of bundles of Cassava stems to his constituents.

Here are some pictures below.
