I had to leave AOT S4 last 2 episodes rewatch omoo, got too intense for me to process at the moment, i first use this one step down...it is still good but whilst AOT is crack cocaine!, this is like Ok lollipop in comparison 👀😩

Its crazy how Eren Kruger (the Owl) basically asked Grisha and the audience if we enjoyed the view of Sergeant Gross' death...
Basically showing we are no different since he enjoyed him suffering for the violence he perpetrated...

I loved Reiner's redemption arc tho...it's the first time I've seen someone hate it.
Reiner was a victim as well, although his central driving motivation was his selfish longing to prove he was a hero...
He really struggled with the weight of his actions and even developed a separate personality to cope with it...

For Armin and Annie...it was always there from season 1, but I was indifferent as to their ship...
I understand that Armin couldn't judge Annie because he himself had killed many innocent civilians when he nuked Liberio...
That's why he said he doesn't like using the term good or bad in describing a person...
Some fans and Eren also claim his feelings developed further cos he ate Bertholdt who had feelings for Annie...

Annie also liked him cos he basically spent time talking to her while she was trapped in the crystal for 4 years when she used the Warhammer titan powers...

Anime supremacy!

I've been rewatching AOT S4 all week, but I didn't remember it being this dark, bleak, and intense, like wtf! 😩. I needed to step away and find an anime with a lighter tone to fill the void, and this was exactly the right fit.


It struck a nice balance between goofy and intense. Tanjiro finally undergoes Hashira training in preparation for what seems to be the final showdown with Muzan. But with Nezuko proving she can survive sunlight, Muzan wasn't about to sit around waiting,he brought the fight straight to the Hashira headquarters.

And Muzan might just be all talk... because, bro, his demon chain might be fake, fgs. 😩 He saw all the Hashira ready to murd him and was like, "Whoop! Everybody into the Infinity Castle you go."!
!

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It had all the hallmarks of a proper anime, especially the habit of over explaining every situation. 😩😅 The visuals were absolutely stunning as well.

Onto Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle we go.

Eren could only see one definite future.
The future he saw was the future he wanted and the same future he acted to lead towards.

That is why most of AOT exists in a closed loop...

Eren being who he is (desiring freedom) would only make the same choice and that choice is what traps him.
No matter how he attempts to do something else, he will still end up acting as he saw in his future memories...

That is why he turned back and saved Ramzi in the alley even when he saw that he would save and later kill Ramzi in the future

And he was right to follow that future.
Remember that even after the Rumbling ended that General Muller was still pointing guns at the Eldians even after seeing how many of them there sacrificed themselves to stop the Rumbling.
Eren was right and it's sad that he died for it. I wish he remained alive to see the world/Paradis he was fighting for. Reiner should have died

Characters in AOT are trapped in a world and situation that started thousands of years before they were even born...

They can only act according to their beliefs. They didn't start the cycle of violence, they were just born into it.

The only character I truly hated by the end was Sergeant Gross (from season 3) who fed Grisha's sister Faye to his children's dogs. That one was just a sick man who gained pleasure from violent actions...

That's more than the time Denis Villeneuve needed to complete a Dune trilogy.

I have accepted that this is going to be the last Batman movie from Matt Reeves. Regardless of whatever happens to the DCU.

There's no chance he will deliver a trilogy with this slow pace.

Who's to say they won't postpone it again.
DC movies don't usually release in February.

Moana (2026)

It should get to a point where enough is enough, and I think we're at that point.

When Moana (2016) came out, I wouldn't say it was groundbreaking, but there was definitely a shift. It quickly caught on and became one of the best animated features from a company famed for the medium but which, in the years prior, looked like it had lost its spark. It became a pop culture icon almost overnight, and the rest is history.

Fast forward to 2024. After a staggering 8 year gap , a sequel was conceived that, sincerely, no one asked for. But apparently it was still enjoying the goodwill of the hugely successful first film. The story was kinda meh, but it still did very decently at the box office. At that point, you would have expected Disney to take the win and pack it in. But no.

A mere two years later, they're back with a live-action remake of the original, and I'm left wondering, what is even the f**king point?

This is the same lead from the previous two, but this time he's at the lowest point of his career, looking for anything that resembles redemption. Sadly, this isn't it.

I already have my issues with live action adaptations of animated films because I think, most of the time, it's difficult to translate all the intent, charm, and expression from animation into live action. As such, I think the two mediums should stay as far away from each other as possible. But that isn't even my main problem here.

My biggest issue is just how needless this is. There isn't a logical reason for it to exist, and the overwhelmingly negative reviews aren't even surprising and a live action remake of thee first animation, inverably means they might make a live action remake of the sequel of the animation and that thought scares me to bit 😩😩.

I hate wishing for a movie to fail because I have people in the film industry, and I know the sheer effort it takes to make even a short film. But part of me hopes that if this fails spectacularly, it'll force Disney to do some serious inward reflection on whether these live-action remakes of their animated classics are worth making.

The joy on my little ones' faces when they first watched Moana (2016) is still fresh in my memory, so I'm not about to taint that feeling by letting them watch this big corp, quick money grab, soulless slop...oh no!
