Broda, kindly ignore the system. The "you are approaching the maximum bla bla bla" na just initial gra gra. I got the same warning when checking for earlier dates. I think its just a security feature designed to prevent unauthorized access to the site. The idea is to check @ regular intervals..say every 3-4hours - not every minute.

And you don't have to be scared, checking for available dates does not use up your reschedule option. To reschedule, you must click on your preferred date & time slot then confirm your choice.

Is there a way to see available dates without clicking on the reschedule appointment link?
When trying to view earlier dates using the reschedule appointment link, I got a msg that "you are approaching the maximum number of times you can visit this page, please complete your transaction this time". I just closed the page because i still couldnt find an earlier date and i dont want the system to log it that i've used my reschedule option. I learnt here that you have only one.

sorry for time wasting, was busy at work. Visa approved today 7:30. I arrived 6:40am and waited for them to call us in. Got tired standing and decided to sit somewhere far, then they called us in . I lost my position as I was now about the 40th person on the line.

Personal tips:

I had about 36 formulated questions which I gathered and was rehearsing d questions for about 3 days of which all came out though not in the same sequence lol.

Pray. I had to though am not a prayer warrior. I always spoke these words Bishop Abioye says "cover my mistake and color my destiny"

Be confident! Mind u as a student u have a higher chance from my experience. They rarely approved b1/b2 except clergy or old chiefs or so...

Though I wrote a few times, it cant be compared to wat I learnt... @bigfrancis, stewee, zee, mystique, slimmy, darklight, Amanze, walspring, deetus, ojap, bbdd, dbluv, prof, infact, we too plenty here. I also noticed that i didn't encounter anything like "Sign Application". Is this normal? I thought they said you fill work experience in the DS-160 form too. I no see anything like that for my own oo...Guys, please, am I missing things?

Hello guys, i just filled my DS-160 form and booked appointment. The earliest available date is Aug 11 and i chose it like that. However, I cant afford to do my interview on that date because it's too close to resumption,so i need to chose an earlier date. Please which of these options is more viable:
1) Using the expedited option (how does it work)
2) Staying up late to see if i can reschedule to an earlier date. (Someone mentioned on this thread that he/she was able to get a closer date by doing this)

PS...i didn't see any field asking for number of siblings or whatever. Though on my homepage,under family details, it listed 0 members.

You can do all that without paying sevis fee. Go ahead and book your appointment. It takes maximum of 48 hours for your sevis fee to be updates once you pay via western union.

yes u can fill ur ds160, pay your visa fee and book your appointment before paying your SEVIS. That's what I did. Hope it helps..

WES sends credential back to issuing institution for verification by regular mail and it takes 10-15 days to get to your school and it depends on the kind method your school acknowledges the verification back to WES ( my school communicates back to WES on verifications through email)..if you're in hurry and the money dey tell u say "spend me" "spend me" . Kindly request for Intl courier shipment($60) its takes 3days.

It depends on the postal service they usually use. Why not use the email verification process, its faster.

Thanks boss...But I think WES decides which verification process to use because they already sent out the documents for verification before notifying me. But, I have control over the channel through which the school responds though, I will use the email option.

Hello house, please how long does it take WES to verify documents from an issuing institution.I got a mail that they have sent photocopies of my credentials to my school since March 5 and up till now, my school said they haven't received the request. I need to fast track this process.Any suggestions pls?

Yeah.....I've submitted my application since early January but one of my recommenders responded last month so my application status just changed to completed.
Materials Science & Engineering ( Been interested in the study and mitigation of Corrosion lately)

You must have applied since last year for you to have gotten your admission now, right?

You do not need NYSC discharge certificate to apply for Visa, but I doubt if you gonna meet up with spring 2016, cos u will be graduating dis November and after ur final exam am sure your result and transcripts is not gonna be out immediately, at least 2-3 month depending on ur school, by this time you are already in early 2016, of which you can't meet up with the deadline anymore. my advice is that u work towards fall 2016 session, you might av even start ur youth service, then u abscond. All d best...
