BusinessRe: Cyber Cafe And Business Centre Thread, Ask Your Questions Here by pukena(op): 11:00pm On May 29, 2015
ok, d issue of network choice has always been a hot topic in ds business. however, d choice of network depends of your perculiar situation and location. I hv virtually migrated from one network to anoda over the years until I found d one that works for me in terms of speed, profit and reliabilty. I started with mobitel but they werent stable. I switched to swift, then to cobranet and to spectranet. these are all good networks especially spectranet for a starter with few systemd. for e.g if your cafe has upto 5-7 systems, you can work with sprctranet lte for their 20gb monthly plan for 7k. it usually finishes before 2 weeks max depending on patronage. I used to recharge every 3 days when I used spectranet. as my cafe grew to over 20 systems, I had to find a better network to accomodate f growth and with unlimited data plan.

I hope I hv answered ur questions.
thanks

I would really want to be sure people are interested in this business before I start making updates. I really have little or no time to write because of the limited time I have during the day, so for me to start making updates, I would really want to see some genuine interest.

Thanks

BusinessCyber Cafe And Business Centre Thread, Ask Your Questions Here by pukena(op): 12:25pm On May 29, 2015
By God's special grace, I have managed to build one of the largest Cyber Cafe and Computer Services Centre in Ijeshatedo, Surulere, Lagos. I was a regular aspiring entrepreneur few years ago, new in Lagos with no capital except for my laptop. But I had a big dream to build a big IT Solutions centre in Lagos. Though a graduate of Industrial Chemistry, I fell in love with computers and the web that prior to starting the business, I virtually spent my waking hours on the internet using a free wifi from a church in my area. That was when I learnt so much on my own on areas which include: Microsoft Packages, Corel Draw, Photoshop, Web development, PHP and MYSQL, Drupal and many other stuffs. I didn;t have money to enroll in any IT School. Today we have trained over 100 people since 2011 and many are already household names in the I.T buisness.

As a Cafe Owner, apart from the money you make from selling internet time, there are many other attendant businesses that keeps your cashflow on the blue. But the Cafe is usually the core business and that's why am building this thread around it.

Many Cafes have opened and closed and when people ask me why, I simply tell them Lack of knowledge. The success of your Cafe business is not a function of how much money you are ready to invest, as much as the ambiance is important, but a function of little little details that I would be sharing with some serious minded ones. Remember, as a Cafe owner, you keep making money from different sources: Computer training, Online registrations like JAMB, WAEC, GCE, NAVY, ARMY, IMMIGRATION, etc., web development, graphics design, etc.

PLEASE NOTE;This business is not for every one. It is very technical. So if you are interested, please ask your questions to know am not talking to myself.

Thanks.

RomanceMy Fiance Was A Lesbian. Should I Still Marry her? by pukena(op):
I met her in a church program in December last year. I proposed to her in January and she accepted. my life in the past 4 months with her has been a dream come true. I showed her off to family and friends at will even in facebook. We even attended a leadership training program for two weeks where we birthed a business dream we shall go into as a family. In fact there was no doubt she was in love with me. I spent on her within my capacity without feeling regret. giving to her was a delight. Everything was perfect until the phone call....

I was on a lunch date with her during a break from d office when a call came through her phone. Usually I dont pokenose into her calls or chats. she doesnt like it.

however, something was different about this particular call. I noticed she was uneasy and was kind of trying to pacify the caller with some excuses why she didnt pick his/her call ealier. I got more curios and demanded to know who called. she said it a nobody. I insisted in knowing who she was pleading with.

finally she spoke. my whole world came crashing before me. I was speechless for some time trying to understand the words I heard from a lady I have given my heart to.

she told me the call was a bolt from her past. that she has been looking for how to tell me about it. "I was into women untill three years ago. the guy who called has my pics and is threatening to publish them online to punish me. he wants to link me up to a rich woman but I told him I dont want so he is threatening to deal with me".

I was lost for words. was ds my lady? I was confused. I demanded to speak to d guy myself. she refused. I wanted to explode then she gave me d number. I called d guy and introduced myself and inquired of d guy if what my woman said was true. at ds point d guy flared up calling my woman unprintable words. he angrily told me that my woman came to him long ago and asked him to hook her up with a rich woman. that he wants to punish her for being a lesbian. blah blah blah......so many revelations I cant say her for respect to my woman.

well, the lunch date was ruined already. I coolly but sternly asked her to go home from the restaurant. I was boiling inside. she followed me back to my office. I turned to see her following and wanted to blow up when she calmly said " emmanuel, just know that all ds things happened in the past. am not proud of it but I hv moved on. I came to tell u about it today before d call came in". with that she turned and left. ofcourse d rest of the day wad spoiled for me.

for days I didnt call her. she wud call and end the call when I wouldnt talk much. I was still in shock. d best friend called and pleaded. she said my woman hadnt left her room for days. always crying non stop.

I still love her. I called d guy later and he claimed he was just playing around. dat the pictures he claimed to hv hv long been lost. dat I shud not leave my woman becos of that. that what he did dat morning was to check if my woman was still in that game. I didnt believe him.

anyway I tried to move on with my woman. though I must admit that things are not d way it used to be. I hv lost d enthusiasm.

I was watching man u match this afternoon when my phone rang. it was the same guy. I asked him why he called. he said called to know why am not talking to my woman. I got angry andtold him to stay clear of my life. I cut the call. he then sent me a message that he would like t send me a link to a website so I would get to know whovmy woman truely is.

I called my girl and warned her to ask her friend to leave me alone.

I want to break up from her. pls is ds the right thing to do?

pls I typed this with a phone to pardon some of my errors.

THE ARMY
Yes..you are right...the army and police easily get fuel...but they go like ginger small.....flog people and scatter kegs in line just to show they are strong...stupid mofos!
Nairaland GeneralFUEL SCARCITY: 3 Types Of People That Can Get Fuel Easily At The Fuel Stations by pukena(op):
I was at the filling station again this morning as early as 7am to buy fuel only to observe the same things that have been the order of the day at the fuel stations since the fuel scarcity. The ordinary man can hardly buy fuel. Infact, this is the period I knew there in this country, all fingers are not equal. So here are the 3 types of people that can easily buy fuel without stress:

1) THE ALAYES: Mehn...this men are strong ooo....You dare not stand on their way to getting fuel. They usually buy to resell... I can be on cue for 4 hours while an Alaye can go more than 7 trips with 50 litre gallon!.....Omo...for once, I wished I get this kind strength....Muscle nd deep voice good ooo....I go soon start working on my own muscle against the future fuel scarcities.

2) THE STAFF: This set of people comprises of the untouchables. The ones that can spend the money...extra money. The deal is usually done inside the office before the station mnager himself would come out and fill their numerous gallons. After which, he goes back to the office. I bin wan claim staff for conoil this morning, the manager asked me, "are you a staff?"...I said "yes"....The next question he asked me shocked me..."are you from Adenuga?"...Oga mi...I just dogde my head....

3) THE SMART DUDES: OK..i fall into this category...You see, I run a Cyber Cafe and we are the most hit since this fuel scarcity due to the nature of our business. No light, no business. Si I can't afford to stay on the line the whole day. But since I no be alaye, I gat to find a way out. Most times, what I do is that when I see the line is much, I calmly scan through the cars on cue. I would go close to one of the owners and engage him/her in a discussion...make the laugh and like me instanta...then before their turn go reach, I would just casually ask them to put my gallon inside their car....hahahha, it always works like magic...

Business5 Reasons Why I Think You Should Start Your Own Business by pukena(op): 8:01pm On Apr 18, 2015
5 Reasons Why I think You Should Start Your Own Business

1) You Become a Problem Solver: This is my main reason for choosing business as a career path. I love to solve problems around me. I see problems as opportunities. I started RicherLife Cleaning Services many years ago because I saw that as a major need in Okigwe and the business was a huge success. Today, I have launched several business projects simply by identifying problems and creating solutions for them.

2) No income Ceiling: Now let's do some analysis. You work in a firm and you get maybe 250k monthly. Good stuff. However, chances are, you will remain at that income ceiling for a long time pending when it would be reviewed. But that's not same for an entrepreneur. His income grows as the business grows which is not a function of time but his input and depth of knowledge in that business. A business person can decide to increase his income simply by increasing the number of units sold. His income is dependent on his capacity to grow. I love that flexibility.

3) You call the shots!!!...Hmmm, what can I say here...I would rather own the ladder than climb the ladder. In a job, you are interested in climbing a ladder to the top, but there are those that own the ladder...they don't have to climb it...hahahah. I think that says it all. You choose. I choose to call the shots. I choose to be the one to hire and fire instead living in fear of being hired and fired.

4) You Become a Leader: Going through the rigorous process of building a successful business would call into action all your leadership abilities. You are toughened and wiser as you make mistakes and learn from it. Above all, you learn how to manage both human and material resources effectively...I think that alone would make me choose business over a job.

5) You Become a National and International Asset: Look around you. The top three richest men in the world are entrepreneurs. This group of people are so important to the nations where they belong, even beyond their nations. Yea..you name them... I have been following Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook as he connects the world through his new project, internet.org. That guy is no longer motivated by money but by how he can leave a legacy fro himself in this world. So what would you leave behind as a legacy?

Romance5 Simple Signs To Know When A Guy No Longer Cares About You: by pukena(op): 4:49pm On Feb 19, 2015
I read a post on this forum of how a lady was dumped by her man after 11 years!..I was pained, hence I decided to write this piece. Please Ladies, take these things to heart.

Simple signs to know when a guy no longer cares about you:

1. When you have to beg him to call you. No matter how busy a man is during the day, he constantly thinks about his woman and instinctively reaches out for his phone to call her every now and then....the lady would finally laugh and say, "honey, you just called me like 10 mins ago.." and the guy would say, "really, didn't even realize that"...well, just called...again to check on you..." The man is in Love.

2. He is not interested in knowing your family and friends: A real guy would want to get closer to your friends and family, even if unofficially. How can you date a guy who shys away from your family and friends, watch him, he doesn't plan to stay long. Meeting your friends and family is a strong statement on intent from the guy, it's an unwritten code that means COMMITMENT....

3. He Nags at the very things he usually laughs over: Ok...now he knows you are slow? he complains over your perfume and cloths? Hmm..watch it...when a guy's heart is no longer there, nagging is easy to come by...I know what am saying..

4. He doesn't Care Anymore: A man only spends on the woman he loves. Its a delight for him to send her money for recharge, cloths, jewelries, etc....But when he doesn't even notice you have been carrying that particular hair for over a week, hmmm...something is wrong somewhere...He can actually be too busy to notice and in such case, his prompt response to your need would show the true state of his heart towards you.

5. If he abuses you: Verbal and physical abuse is the height of a man's dislike to a woman. Unfortunately, even at this point, most ladies are blind to see. I have literally watched a guy batter his girl friend over and over again, yet the girl would still go back to him....Amazing!!!....A man that hits a woman is an animal.

Please feel free to add yours.

PoliticsIgbo Group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Fight Over Jonathan, Oduah Cash Gifts by pukena(op): 6:37pm On Dec 27, 2013
Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the umbrella tribal union for
Nigeria’s Ndigbo may split over the cash gifts
given the members by President Goodluck
Jonathan and Minister of aviation, Princess Stella
Oduah.
PUNCH reported that the pan-Igbo socio-cultural
organisation has been engulfed in crisis since
after a visit of its leaders to President Goodluck
Jonathan.
The source, who is a prominent member of the
group, alleged that the delegation received N30m
from the Presidency and another N10m from the
Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah.
He claimed the N10m from Oduah was to
appreciate the group’s solidarity for her during
her ordeal over the N255m bulletproof jeep saga.
“The cash gift of N40m, which is calculated at
supporting President Jonathan for the 2015
election, sparked off the crisis. The whole fight
got to the peak when leaders of Ohanaeze
excluded our youths from the sharing formula.
“With the development on the ground, some very
strong members of ours are pushing for a split
and that could happen by the first or second week
of January,” the source said.
However, Secretary General of the Ohanaeze, Dr.
Joe Nwaorgu, dismissed the alleged cash gifts to
the delegation as “a fabrication by faceless scary
minds, which should not command my
comment.”

PoliticsNelson Mandela Died In June; Family Finally Admit by pukena(op): 6:14pm On Dec 21, 2013
Nelson Mandela’s funeral was planned a year ago. The Nelson Mandela family has finally admitted that Nelson Mandela is dead by announcing on December 5th (2013) that the former leader of South Africa is no longer with us.

The charade began in June of 2013, and Guardian Express has maintained Mandela has been deceased since we were informed of his passing in June via one of our reporters embedded in South Africa. That reporter had received a text message from her close friend who works for the South African News which stated that Mandela had died the night prior.

Since June, The Guardian Express has come under attack; first from a “denial of service” attack which shut the site down on and off for three days right after we published the news that Mandela had died. That denial of service attack was traced back to South Africa.

The Guardian Express was also attacked by people denying that the Nelson Mandela family was carrying on a charade. However, we stood by and continue to stand by our account that Mandela was declared permanently brain dead with total organ failure in June of 2013. Now, today, the family has finally decided to give up their charade.

We sent an additional reporter to South Africa who returned with an audio recording of two top government officials confirming the fact that Mandela was totally brain dead and was declared so on June 11. However, his family refused to turn off the life support machines hooked up to his body. Thus, the family could keep him artificially “alive.” Their motive? To settle a huge lawsuit against Mandela’s estate.

It was revealed that Mandela’s family was suing him for control of his estate and since it is impossible to sue a dead person, it seems Mandela had to be kept “alive” with machines until a resolution could be found for the lawsuit. Thus far, there is no word on whether that lawsuit had been settled, but there are already many speculations in the press that this announcement today will begin the battles over the Mandela estate afresh.

The Mandela daughters and granddaughters have shown a good deal of greed when it comes to Mandela’s legacy. It has been reported that their fighting over his money got so bad that Mandela “lost faith” in his daughters and worried that their concern over money was overshadowing their concern for family harmony.

The Mandela funeral was planned a year in advance, according to reports. The funeral date is set for December 14 and there is a comprehensive schedule of events leading up to that date. The Mandela family has finally given up their charade which they have been carrying on since June and have admitted the former South African leader is dead. – The Guardian Express
