Politics › Re: Zero Tolerance For unapproved Developments Remain Non-Negotiable - LASG by PulaPower: 10:18am On Oct 09, 2025 |
The Lagos State Government reiterates its zero tolerance for illegal and unapproved developments within the Trade Fair Complex, Ojo, pending full compliance with planning regulations and the attainment of a safe, orderly, and sustainable physical environment.
Naso..
2. Over time, the Trade Fair Complex has degenerated into an enclave of haphazard and unsafe structures, posing grave risks to public safety and emergency response. In line with Sustainable Development Goal 11 — “Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable” — and the State’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda, the Lagos State Government is acting strictly within its constitutional and statutory mandate, as derived from the Nigerian Urban and Regional Planning Act 1992, as domesticated by the Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law 2019, and reinforced by the Supreme Court Judgment of 2003 (Attorney-General of Lagos State v. Attorney-General of the Federation). These legal instruments empower states to regulate physical development within their territories, including federal lands, except for areas under exclusive federal use such as military formations.
Those illite-rates needs to understand this. |

the mistake of 2023 will be corrected come 2027……they have rubbed it in our face for too long and now that their real agenda have been unveiled, Yorubas are waiting to take the necessary correction. I know a lot of Yorubas that voted for this hypocrite and now seen the way his brother have been boasting how they defeated Tinubu like their votes alone made that happen without acknowledging the effort of the Yorubas that played a significant role but turn around to label the agbado and tribalist while we know the real set of tribalist that gave their tribeman 100% vote in their region It’s sickening bro.. It’s a mistake that must be corrected.. |

Politics › Re: President Tinubu Expected To Present Name Of New INEC Chair To Council Of State by PulaPower: 12:05am On Oct 07, 2025 |
BodePolScience: The Council of State is a ceremonial body and lacks any real political power, so presenting the INEC head to this body is just a jamboree and a waste of time. The first Council of State was created by the Murtala/Obasanjo regime in a bid to tackle the excesses and corruption of military governors that had been predominant since the Gowon's regime. The Obasanjo's regime had to exclude all state governors from the Supreme Military Council (SMC) and added them to the newly created Council of State, saddling them with only an advisory role.
Also, it's antithetical to common sense that the President is a direct beneficiary of an election outcome and still has the power to appoint the INEC head. It's no brainer that the legal luminary, Afe Babalola, advised that no election should be held unless the 1999 Constitution bequeathed to us by the military is overhauled I talk ham.. Nah inside your sitting room dem sup present Inec chair.. |
