Lagos isn't stifling development. It is encouraging it.

The problem is that Nigeria isn't growing fast enough.

Growth from Lagos has spilt over into Ogun state. Many factories are setting up in Ogun state because land in Lagos has become too expensive.

Agbara, Otta and Lagos Ibadan expressway are axis are benefiting big time from it. From the way industries are springing up along Lagos- Ibadan expressway, it will soon enter Oyo state.

Nigeria needs to grow faster for Lagos and all states to really benefit.

The growth started in Egba land, before anything Lagos! Ogun state been having industries even before Lagos came into existence..

What many of you don’t understand is that most part of Lagos state nah Egba land! Awori were the first settler in Eko and their progenitor, the first settler, Ogunmenufun or something was from Ile-Ife! .... This is another story that I’ll write about later on..

What Lagos is today, it was Egba land that was like that back in the days! Egba land used to be westerners trade center back in the days - it’s the major reason why majority of industries in Nigeria today are located in Ogun state. It has always been like that before anything nigeria! ... And if you check, most Yoruba billionaires are from Ogun state, even till date.

Lagos state has been appealing to Ogun Government to concede Mowe/Ibafo to them but Ogun state is yet to grant it! What’s my point exactly?:

Of course regional autonomy was successful whereas our 'one Nigeria' self-delusion has been a big failure that has ensured no region has developed optimally meaning all of Nigeria is stagnant and ridiculously backwards in comparison to other nations.

Whereas the main negative cited against regional system of Governance was that development of regions was uneven with the likes of the SW and SE making headway while the North lagged behind.

Yet, that is no excuse for all of is to endure with 'one Nigeria' patent failings only breeding insecurity, poverty, criminality everywhere, illiteracy and underdevelopment/stagnation nationally.

Under regional system, it is regions like the North that must change it's view and approach to life to be as successful as others. It is not for Yorubas and others to be trapped in 'one Nigeria'' madness that forever condemn all of us, and our generations unborn, to failure.
