I read his first post and I fully understand what he meant. Too late to retract it. Truth is, everybody's pocket is different. If he ate or bought soup @ a restaurant for N700 and thinks that's cheap, it's obvious he's used to dining in more expensive restaurants. The average Nigerian can't afford to do that in this present economic situation. Pockets different. He's talking about Americans who dumped their SUVs when gas price was high?? These Americans, with or without hike in price have always taken the subways or cabs or buses. Cos it makes more sense to them. Nigeria is different. Can he dump his SUV for bus? So we have subways? It's obvious this man can only write from his own experience and not practically. Every seasoned journalist should have the ability to profer solutions that are practical. And also write articles that are unbiased. For instance, the man without a car, talk less of an SUV who earns less than minimum wage, whose forte is to "manage manage ", what would you advise him to do in economic situations like this? Buying ofada rice is out of it, cos we all know it's way more expensive than the imported Thai rice. I'm just saying, we need practical solutions. And in the case of buying Naija to grow the naira, for every imported goods we are told not to buy, we need a locally made and affordable alternative or rival brand. Nigeria as a country has a long way to go. The common man can only do as much as he is empowered to. A govt that's pulling down small businesses isn't helping matters. Whether we like it or not, industries needs to be built. Things need to be put in place, policies conducive for the economy before any real change can happen. The common man has tried. And if there is no enabling environment for growth, there can not be any growth. |
I experienced almost same thing with them. Mine was data (which was later reset before I could finish it), and airtime which they still haven't refunded. Their Cc is so unhelpful. Its almost two weeks now, and nothing from them! I have decided I won't call them again, no point calling them with airtime I bought for other purposes. I have decided to stop using them. Biko, they can take their cheap to somewhere else. Their whatsapp Cc is the worst. They read and never reply, except U threaten them. I'm done threatening. Na small airtime. I won't lose sleep over them. moski5: |
I've been using them since last year, they were OK but their customer care sucks. Recently I bought 1G, with a month's validity, in less than a week, I got a "data reset" notification from MTN when I tried to go online. My balance of over 500MB wiped! Secondly, same week, I bought airtime from them, it showed "transaction complete " on the site but I got this message from MTN "Ref: 733840875 21/07 19:58:43 Airtime recharge has failed. Please contact Help desk" I have been calling them ever since and also MTN, they both can't seem to resolve the issue. I called sotey I have spent over the amount I am complaining about.. Their customer care suck. They are not helpful. They sometimes not pick nor respond their whatsapp messages. And they are clueless on how to handle when things go wrong on their site and customer has to pay. So, my advise is, using Club Konnect is up to you. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. But when something goes wrong, don't expect them to rectify it. Cos they won't.

Dear VO, I have a valid B1/B2 visa that expires in August. I'm currently vacationing in the US but will be back in a few days. In a week I intend to be in South Africa. My question is, I have a 2weeks trip planned for the USA again for a conference in June. And I might be going from SA. DO I need to renew my visa before then? And, if Yes, can It be renewed in South Africa? I was issued this current one in Nigeria. Kindly respond pls. |
