You right about the lag being experienced in the Auto sector R & D , However, i think it's a ploy most car manufacturers use. They actually have series of improvements and innovative features, but they won't roll them out all at once, rather, they would wait to see what their competitors come up with, before adding an extra feature to the subsequent model - a feature that could have been added a year or ever years earlier.

That last picture, the policeman on RRS bulletproof vest, was he part of the protest, or was he there to disperse his colleagues?
