So mind you when buying a used car you are buying the car alone excluding the plate number. There's nothing like change of ownership anymore. Please you don't the old plate number or the plate number papers. The most important document you need is the customs papers of the car, the new law stated that the plate number belongs to the owner of the car not the car. You can not renew the plate numbers paper in your name unless you still want the old owners name to be there. Get a receipt and change of ownership letter from the owner of the vehicle, then go to court and police station to legalize it and got for your own plate number.
