Punters, let's wise up. According to the reply above, if you break a rule in Joke or Politics section for example, you can be disqualify from the PFP competition.

If the above is true, I hereby request that you remove my name from the interested punters list as I can't stick to the rules.

Though, I'm not one who go about breaking NL, but I see no sense-able reason why breaking a rule on a section other than business or even a thread other than the Original PFP thread should disqualify anyone from the competition.

emphasis on the word IF. Remember its only one person winning. Ur level of thinking is so one-sided.what if the rule now stated dat the minimum to stake is 1k. Will you say "at least merrybet will pay u when you use 1k to win 1milla" wen punters donate their cash into the red sea. Their higher the stake.the higher the risk of loosing cos not everyones gonna win. Crap!!!

Frankly, with the way the last PFP ended, the way the moderator disqualified persons who were de-railing this thread from the PFP that is yet to start rather than banning them and the rude manner they reply to posts here, I'm having a second thought about the competition.

The truth of d matter is, na win - win for us except of course you lose on all your 3 slots for the play off. In fact, the winner no go lost shishi cos he will be winning his bets. Your #200 no dey go anywhere except you dey lose. And d highest amount u fit lose during d play off is #600 if u stake d said #200 per slot. If you win the 3 slots, yoy get your stake back plus profit. So, wats d fuss about? Bring it on!

am saying this out not to witchhunt anybody bt this how it starts before you know it ....it would have risen to 1k per slip....this is a competition for we punters not for one bookie to come and rip us off.....we should be the one deciding how much we bet per slip and you moderators dont represent our interest well....then there is a problem somewhere

I have one issue to raise....last year pfp was 100naira per slip and this yr is 200 per slip wyt no difference in the prize money.......this is wrong and an injustice

Rules guiding 2015 MERRYBET PUNT for PRIDE 4

1. You need to be a registered member of MERRYBET to participate.

2. Minimum allowed odd is 1.5 (single or combo)

3. All markets and odds must be from [/b], and participants are REQUIRED to stake (min. N200) on their game(s) for it to be valid.

4. You are required to Copy and Paste your games on the thread (PUNT for PRIDE 4) after staking. We are only after the [b]bet number/ID, merrybet username, games and odd and not the amount staked, but remember minimum amount to stake is N200.

5. The tournament is NOT limited to football only. Picks from other Sports are accepted provided it is from [/b]

6. Live in-play is [b]NOT allowed. Odds at in-play change rapidly and we can't keep a good record on such fast-changing odds.

7. Points will be used to grade punters odds (rounded to the nearest whole number) e.g.
1.55 = 2pts
2.76 = 3pts
2.44 = 2pts
5.59 = 6pts
5.49 = 5pts

10. Any pick/tip/bet without a BET number/ID will be voided and participant risks being DISQUALIFIED from the tournament.

11. All SLOTS not used will be FORFEITED. (There would be NO SLOT carry-overs)

12. All picks/tips/bets/events MUST BE POSTED on the PUNT for PRIDE 4 thread at least 15minutes before the KICK-OFF of the first event on the bet slip.

13. All picks/tips/bets/events must be dropped and played before 11.59pm (ONLY applicable to deadline day)

14. Anyone who drops a pick/bet/tip and requests for it to be voided shall have his/her request granted by:
a) having the game voided.
b) have his SLOT counted as used.


====IN ADDITION====

15. Your pick must be quoted by a participating member of the tourney or the Moderators of the tourney for it to be valid.

16. Time for submission of pick is 0700 - 2359GMT(7AM - 11:59PM) ANY PICK dropped after the deadline time MUST either be quoted by your group opponent or one of the Judges/Moderators of the tourney otherwise it is counted as invalid.

17. Any attempts to abuse or break the rules will result in the following disciplinary actions.
*Disqualification from the tourney.

18. DUPLICATION OF OPPONENT GAMES IS EXPRESSLY FORBIDDEN
Events and markets as already appeared on your opponent's tips cannot appear on your BET SLIP.
One event/market may be termed as coincidence, while two & above events/markets will be termed duplication which may lead to your games been VOIDED.

19. The maximum permissible number of re-runs in any group in the event of a TIE is 1(one).
If after the re-run and there is still no clear winner, DEAD HEAT rules will apply.

DEAD HEAT
The contestant with the highest point in any other re-run after the initial 1(one) will WIN the tie.
There shall be no rounding up of odds. What you play is what you get.
The minimum odds still remains 1.5

20. Duplicate/Opposite BET
It is expressly forbidden to place duplicate BETS on the same market using multiple slots. This will be considered as UNFAIR advantage and the penalty is AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION from the competition.
E.g. Using a slot to bet on OVER 2.5goals and using another slot to bet on UNDER 2.5goals on the same match.

21. Judges/Moderators decision is final.

1st Prize: 1million naira + bragging rights for the year + the right to open the new punting thread.
2nd Prize: 300 thousand naira
3rd Prize: 200 thousand naira
Consolation prizes: 4th - 10th postions.......10 thousand naira each.
