Yyeske: Don't mind those things, always claiming Lagos and thinking Nigeria starts and ends there, travel and see they will not. Those who traveled and said what they saw, they say they are liars They keep claiming Lagos is a metro city but deep down, they know the truth.. Lagos is feeding off the dividends that rightfully be located in the other 2 southern zones |

kettykin: Igbos too own a good number of the industrial complexes in Lagos /ogun axis. The largest biscuits factory in that is owned by an Igbo man , another owns a very big industrial complex that makes wine, soap etc, Emma Bishop.
This is what I have been preaching all this while in nairaland, the day igbos would move their investment East ward is the day Nigeria would take igbos more seriously.
Now they are coming to the east to look at our billion naira Rice farms, our shoe and leather products clusters (largest in Africa) ,our multi billion dollars auto manufacturing city and the harbor industrial cluster. The only place there is no recession is in the east, instead of downsizing and closing of shops more business outfits are springing up (lots of thanks to Obiano's team)
If igbos continue their divestment to the east, the tipping point will be when a band wagon effect is triggered making investments in the east and regionalisation of multinational offices in the east a must option .
This will lead igbos to where the were in international reckoning before the 1966 coups, with Eastern economy being the fastest growing economy in the world Afonja will faint reading this post |

What most ibos lack that the North has (which the North is actually loosing) is sincerity. Opharhe: I think i partially agree with you. Though in this case, i can attest that the Ijaws were ill treated by the colonial authorities in collaboration with the Itsekiri establishment at the time, but i see no reason why they should transfer aggression on Urhobos who have hitherto being friendlier and even gave them land to settle. Infact, ,any families on bot sides are related by blood. Maybe they think that Aladja or it's surrounding villages can be easily annexed just because they have fire power due to militancy... I laugh. Warri people say, e don tey wey yansh dey back. Well, just as i told Barcanista just now, it'll be good if the Ijaws and Urhobos respect this ultimatum before the matter is properly settled. The Ijaws are increasingly becoming too provocative i must say. Well said. I couldn't have said it any better. The ijaws R being provocative to a lot of different tribes these days both within and outside the south south. |

TheEastActivist: They accused Igbos of dominating them and United on a common front to petition against them now they have realised that all those fronting spearheaded by the ijaw was for them to take over Niger delta with their land grabbing espionage and who the true enemies is...
I have nothing else to say to those minorities there bc ijaw is not a minority in their midst and so there boldness, but they ask for it let them suffer it with their blood.
Penny wise pound foolish I always knew some ijaws have ulterior motives when it comes to south south. But let them settle their matter themselves within the south south. This ultimatum urhobos just served them is the beginning, other tribes don wise up |
