Hello everyone,am in the dark right now and so confused as per what to do or where to start from. maybe some one has experienced this before and could help me know how to go about getting my money back! my ATM card was stolen, and 200,000 was withdrawn from my account without me getting any notification of any sort. i noticed it got missing on the 27th when i went to make a withdrawal but i wasn't so bothered because i felt it would be in my other bag, and then no notification came as to assume otherwise. but when i went to the bank the next day to request for another ATM because i couldn't find it again, that was when i noticed that my money was 200k short, when i now finally got a debit alert from the bank for issuance of a new ATM. i was in shock, i was never at any rowdy place that you would say someone stole my purse or something, it dawned on me that i have been defrauded by somebody really close to me,because that is the only way my ATM could have gone missing. i have my suspicions tho but wouldn't want to go on accusing someone without concrete evidence. my bank says i need to visit the bank where the withdrawal was made to get cctv footages but then why didn't i get notifications when the withdrawals where made ? and dont i need some kind of documents from my bank to the other bank ? im really confused and would like to hear from someone who has been through this and how they made headway eventually. |
BY FRANCIS IGATA ENUGU – No fewer than 94 students of the University of Nigeria Nsukka,UNN, have cried out to relevant authorities to intervene in the impasse subsisting between the school management and Medical Rehabilitation Technical Board of Nigeria,MRTBN. The students who graduated since last year from the Medical Rehabilitation Department, held a peaceful protest, Wednesday, at the Enugu campus said their licences for induction which is long over due, was being delayed over administrative standoff between the school and MRTBN. Chanting and marching round the Faculty Building, carrying placards with inscriptions that reads:”Our Internship have been denied because we do not have license, UNN and MRTBN,please set us free,We are trapped, stagnated and helpless, After collecting our N5M,no license,no induction,no job” the protesting students alleged that they paid N50,000 each for the license but to avail. The students who spoke through their leader Mr. Ifeanyi Uwaegbuonu said,”We were told to pay N50,000 each for our induction which we did. Since last year till now, we have not received any information concerning our license which has hamstrung our induction. “We have laid our grievance to various relevant authorities but to no avail. From our efforts at MRTBN,we discovered that there is an administration problem between the school and the Board. “We have been denied access to write our internship exams at various centres because we do not have license. All the places we went for internship turned us down. They referred to us as quacks. “It was during our efforts that we found out that the problem between MRTBN and the school is that the Board said a Physiotherapist should be the Head of Department instead of a Medical Doctor that we have now as HOD.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/unn-students-cry-out-over-delayed-licenses/ This is really hurtful, imagine not being able to do my internship for God knows what. Someone please come to our aid. We need our license |
