It would take years to build transmission lines and Niger has been cut off from the World Bank and IMF to get the funds to do it. One example would be the lie that Niger provides France most of its uranium when infact over 70% of France's uranium comes from Kazakshstan, Canada, and Australia. France has been closing mines such as Niger's Cominak mine closed this spring. Niger that depends on foreign international aid has been cut off. Their electricity which Nigeria provides the bunk of it has been cut off. Benin has been seized food heading for Niger. Niger currency soon be completely worthless to import anything. Niger has been a shithole since the beginning and it will be a shithole in a decade. Nothing will change with the military dictatorship. |

Horus:Whole population will fight ECOWAS? Nairaland and their funny jokes. Niger is not remotely comparable to Vietnam. The only people fighting in guerilla warfare against the United States at the time were the North Vietnamese communists in the thick jungles which they lost in every major engagement they had with the US military. Military lost the political battleground back home and were forced to pull out of Vietnam, not because the Vietnamese were "beating" the United States. Same way the Talibans up in the mountains waited for the US to leave and called it a victory. If war broke out, most will run for their lives causing a massive refugee crisis. Some unhinged civilians with no battlefield experience would fight and die in vain as the regime is toppled. Anyway, the Northern Nigerian senators have blocked Tinubu from using military action so Niger will just have to suffer from the crippling sanctions placed on them which they wont last 6 months under not just from ECOWAS but from the US and EU too locking them out of international trade. Honestly, shouldn't Kenya follow some examples from Nigeria? Apparently, Ruto did ban the exportation of tea in its raw state to boost revenue for tea farmers and to create jobs. Agriculture dominates a large part of the Kenyan nominal GDP and makes up for most of its rural workforce. Biology science didn't come from nothing! If biology science is that superior; then indeed they should be God.
