I thought Obi supporters said the war in Iran shouldn’t have had any impact on petrol prices in Nigeria. So why should a US-Iran truce reduce petrol prices to 900? |

CharlesCNG: "Tinubu is not doing too well, therefore let's try Peter Obi or someone else and if he fails, we'll rinse and repeat."
That is not a governing philosophy.
That is a gambling philosophy.
Countries are not laboratories for political experiments.
The burden is not on me to reject Tinubu.
The burden is on Peter Obi or Atiku to demonstrate why he deserves to replace him.
"Let's try somebody else" is not an argument.
By that logic, every dissatisfied country should simply rotate incompetence and hope for miracles.
You cite Argentina.
Excellent.
Argentina did not elect Javier Milei merely because he was "someone else."
They elected him because he brought a radically different economic philosophy, spent years developing those ideas, and convinced enough Argentines that he had answers.
The question therefore is simple:
Beyond slogans and moral superiority, what exactly is Peter Obi's unique answer to Nigeria's security crisis?
What is his detailed energy policy?
What institutional reforms distinguish him from others?
What evidence from Anambra demonstrates transformational capacity?
These are legitimate questions.
And dissatisfaction with Tinubu does not automatically translate into confidence in Peter Obi.
Rejecting one doctor does not mean you should entrust your life to the next man in the waiting room.
In democracy, incumbents must earn renewal.
But challengers must earn replacement.
And "Anybody But Tinubu" is not a manifesto.
It is merely an emotion. Wow! You finish work on that pseudo-intellectual nairalanda1 Nairalanda1, you must not run away please. Come back and answer the questions raised by this intelligent poster |

1.Does the electronically transmitted result play any role in the actual collation of results? 2. If hackers gain access to the servers and alter any of the results, how do you resolve this discrepancy? If your answer is to resort back to the results in the form EC8, then what is the fuss about the electronic transmission? 3. If you agree with (2) and still argue that electronic transmission ensures electoral integrity, then you don’t know what you’re doing 4. If results in the EC8 are altered, the only way to resolve it is to crosscheck the copies of the results submitted to the police and party agents, so where does the transmitted results play any role significant role in collation of the final results?

nairalanda1: LOL, you are asking the wrong question. Because you are programmed to think that subsidy removal supporters automatically support government.
And I am not going to answer you because you are saying I am a tinubu supporter without saying 'He is a tinubu supporter'.
GO and read about why consumption subsides are damaging to a nation;s economy, especially when the country is not taxing enough of its gdp, and why GEJ was so determined to remove subsidy in 2011.
Good morning. If you call me tinubu supporter again...abeg vamoose. This pseudo-intellectual is here again. Funny how you praise GEJ for “being determined to remove subsidy” but never give credit to the Tinubu who actually manned up and removed it, hypocrite. GEJ can’t remove subsidy and still be setting prices, that amounts to merely reducing the amount paid on the subsidy |

Politics › Re: How 3 Southern Senators Scuttled Real-time E-transmission Of Election Results by Queseda: 8:36am On Feb 09 |
casualobserver: What this whole saga bhighlights once again is that we have a fundamental problem of ignorance, poor understanding of the English language and low intelligence amongst our populace.
Irev is a viewing portal. What is on IREV are COPIES of the EC8 forms. It is not the source of the votes for collation. Whether real time or mandatory, it makes no difference to the collation or outcome of elections. INEC DOES NOT COUNT VOTES ON IREV, IT COUNTS BASED ON THE ORIGINAL PHYSICAL EC8 Forms.
Whether you transit to irev in real time o whether they are transmitted 24hrs later o. It is the physical EC8 forms that are used to collate results at the ward, state and national levels.
Transmission of results real-time or otherwise is not electronic voting. Votes that were done manually and collated manually and entered on a piece of paper don’t automatically get collated on the irev server simply because you transmitted or transferred them electronically in real time.
Again, IREV is merely a veiwing portal where you can see the votes of individual polling units only! Even if INEC were able to transmit in real time the votes of all PUs in a state to IREV, you will still have to take your calculator and compute the total votes yourself manually.
Finally the senate did not remove electronic transfer or transmission of results, they simply declined to add the term “real time” due to the infrastructural challenges and the legal implications. This is a sensible submission. |
