chrisj2000: We have no issues with three in one but remember that your bible says that lucifer was once an angel. That means he was once a part of god, question is; how did part of god disobey god and how did god cast part of him out? We are sick of proving god from written words. Prove your omnipotent god through prayer. Please pray to him to wipe out malaria from Africa, if he does it we apologize to you for ever doubting him. If he fails to do it you burn your bible and apologize to atheists. YEEPARIPA! GBAAAAAAAMMMMMMM |

Final Submission: Part 2 i can not advice anyone not to belöng to any church. The reason is that believers are the most discriminating social group in Nigeria. If you don't join them they will label you SATAN! In the workplace if you refuse to join their prayers you will be isolated. This particular practice is rampant among J-SHARP SHARP, RCCG, MOF, TREM, CHOSEN, THE APOSTOLIC and dozens of so called "bible believing church(es)" Many of this churches are too greedy to settle down to follow the lord. If you join them they will turn into a chaser of church titles. Any church that confesses that Jesus came to the earth as flesh and that only through him is salvation possible - is in my humble submission - worthy of fellowship!! |

Jah Man: Anyone arguing about JW has so much time to waste. I did that as an undergraduate and they'll never accept defeat. Sure a 5-year old knowing the bible better? Ofcourse even their elders use the same trick provided in their special bible version to shine. For every controversial verse of the scriptures, the footnote points them to the next place to read.LWKMD! I remembered one of the last arguments I had with them way back in univ, after we read any portion(be it on trinity, heaven, divinity of Jesus, holy communion, hell, rapture, etc),I will be the one to tell them where next to open cos I have used their bible alot.
Such arguments won't benefit anyone. The OP needs to be closer to God and I love 'shushu's' comments. For now let our advice stick to how to help him get closer to God. When it's time to argue if JWs are even christians,we can stick on such topics.
@OP take shushu's advice. If you choose to join any church, Anglican,Catholic,RCCG,Winners,Assemblies,Deeper Life, etc. Please stick to the Berean style as advised by someone.Go back and study the scriptures for whatever you are taught in the church to ascertain how true they are. I wish you God's grace. How do we know you are not the one "refusing to accept defeat" |

Lenny5000: @freecocoa First you must understand that JW are very nice people that are well versed in their scripture. I too was like you so many year ago and wanted to join them because they preach what you can understand and they teach very well so before join I took my time and researched them. Using GOOGLE I traced their history from their founder, etc. At the end though I like, admire and respect them but I could not join them because. They re-wrote the BIBLE (New Wold Translation) to suit their doctrines. The reason they are not accepted is because they are not viewed as Christians. They don't believe in basic Christian Truths like 1. Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Ghost) 2. Holy Ghost is not a person to them, but an Active Force 3. Jesus Christ is a created begin The list goes on. So if you must join them, then you must give up your own Bible and use NEW WORLD TRANSLATION and once you Google how and who translated their version it tells you a lot about JW, Another thing about them is their constantly predicting the end of the world and getting it wrong. They have so many of these lil things going and that is while they are not accepted as Christians, But like I said they are very nice people that wont go about stealing peoples money like most Pastors do today and they are very well versed in their Scripture, May God direct you to the right part. Bless you.
You can find out More researched info about JW here, http://carm.org/jehovahs-witnesses
Excerpts In the late 1800's, a young man of 18 years, by the name of Charles Taze Russell, organized a Bible class in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1879 he sought to popularize his ideas on doctrine so he co-published The Herald of the Morning magazine with its founder, N. H. Barbour and by 1884 Russell controlled the publication and renamed it The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom, and founded Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society (now known as the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society). Russell served as the teacher and guide for the organization which taught that Jesus returned invisibly in 1914 and is now reigning in heaven. When Jesus finally returns physically to earth, which will happen at the time of the Battle of Armageddon, He will set up his earthly 1000 year kingdom. My Final Submission Part 1: JWs got majority of the prophecies correctly. They documented the aspect of 1914 prophecy that they missed. The website you cited contains half truths and lies. There are 7 major websites singing the same tune of lies and hatred. Everyone should be suspicious of your arguements since you failed to quote from JWs sources. Different events in 1918, 1919, 1920-1935, 1970-1986 caused the body to flush out some who although annointed wanted to smuggle new doctrines. Since 1996 I have done internet research (Israel) and found that the same half truths has replicated on the internet, repeating the same RUBBISH. A whole Dr. RUEBEN ABATI once relied on such internet junk and was apparently disappointed. NEVER BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET! |

My point is GOD will not commune with anyone found fighting his annointed ones. If u want to live an austere life choose DEEPER LIFE. If you want inculturatiön choose CATHOLIC or ISLAM. If your fancy is innovations and trendy methods choose the pentecostals aka bible bel churches eg "church of God mission", "church of pentecost" etc. If you want to follow the crowd or you want a christian business angle join RCCG and if you wish to follow 1st century xtian tradition join the Jehovah's Witnesses. If you are drawn to xtian science seek the GRAIL MESSAGE. But if you join a church where bible research is not taken seriously, you'll simply crash out in less than 6 visits |

viruz007: @freecocoa i admire your decision. Am not going to criticize any denomination here but ama point out a couple of things to you and offer you an invitation to were i worship.
My best friend is a witness so i know what they do. One issue they have wrong is the issue of the Holy Communion. They take it once a year meanwhile we are instructed to take it upon every 1st day of the week which happens to be Sunday. You can check the book of Acts 20:7.
I agree with them on the non-celebration of Xmas and Easter as those dates are not significant to you as a Christ follower(Christian). Xmas is said to be the DOB of Christ but if you do your research you would find out that period falls during winter and the bible states that Jesus was born when the shepherds were out tending to their flock, something not possible in winter. The occasions we are asked to celebrate Christ id through the Holy Communion to remember his death.
Witnesses have said the world will end in 1914 yet nothing happened and that belief that 144,000 will only go to heaven is total BULLCRAP.
The GOD i know gave us steps to live and make heaven and i list 'em here below:
- Hear the Word - Believe the Word - Repent of your sins - Confess Jesus as your Lord and Personal Saviour - Be Baptized i.e your fully immersed into a body of water not being sprinkled water or anytin that the call baptisms this days *sighs* - Go to a bible believing Church were you get to hear the Word of God, give of your means, break bread and drink the cup and fellowship with your brethren in sweet wonderful fellowship. - Live a life worthy of emulation. Be conformed to the likeness of Christ and i assure you your well on the way to making heaven,
I attend the "CHURCH OF CHRIST". Lemme knw were you at and i could get you the address of one so that you can visit so that you can clear the doubts in your heart. U can contact me personally @ 30530CCC. datz my bb pin or mail me @ darksaint007atgmaildotcom even here you are deceiving yourself saying you arenot out to criticize but ended up condeming and condemed! Ndipe: Another belief JW hold onto is that Jesus Christ did not resurrect physically from the grave. So that's a major no no.
As for Seventh day adventist, they worship on Saturday because of their belief that God created the Sabbath day to be a day of rest not sunday. However, I would discourage you from joining them because Colosians 2:16 says "So don't let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths."
http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/False%20Religions/Seventh-Day%20Adventist/sk.htm i tot jesus was meant to have given up his 'physical body'. i tot Jesus was resurrected in the 'spirit' Ignorance leads to dishonor. |

The JWs will tell you those religions are devil inspired and Jehovah has perfectly good reasons for killing Amalekite babies in the bible. Well so does Boko Haram. You are all the same. Why are you squabbling over other peoples politics and religion, Arab, Jewish and European? Is Oduduwa mentioned in the bible? Is Lagos or Benin there? @all,
Jehovah's witnesses believe in HEAVEN for RULERS and PARADISE-EARTH for the RULED. All religious pastors know this, but church traditns does not allow us to explore those doctrines, dont give up. Am a deacon for 8years and have also being a member of ECWA before joining the force. I know JWs also believe in "everlasting damnation" and that "fire" used in several scripture means "destruction" Why can't we stop being INTERNET PARROTS repeating junks on the internet as facts. The same misconceptions were peddled against moslems and their concept of JIHAD, against DEEPER LIFE and TELEVISION. |

@confetti,
your history is from an opposition or protestant ministry. History of JWs is documented in a book titled "JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, Proclaimers of God's kingdom" published by the WATCHTOWER. My big question is how come you never quoted from this source. The book is free. The book mentions their failures and corrections - 1914 etc - and how they continued with their faith in God. Lets examine 2 sides of a coin. |

Grassroot: Belief is a very powerful force, and if you choose to join any religion, the best approach is to completely believe -- close your mind. Only that way can you find relative happiness. Because, if you continue to search for this truth by seeking peoples opinions, you would end up in total confusion because everyone has a personal concept of truth. This is what JW help you do. They give you logical explanations of the bible, call it truth, and ask you to shun whatever. To be sincere, you would be very happy if you are able to accept this. As a JW, you would be confined to their teachings and you are not "scripturally permitted" to consider other beliefs. If you dont have that kind of mind, I mean if are "humble" enought to receive instructions from the society without questioning, you would be happy as a JW. As a JW, even if you question, you must do it within the confines of the society's teachings, or you risk being disfellowshipped.
I'll advise you to read the books: Crisis of Conscience and A Search for Religious Freedom. IMO, they would give you objective history abt JW. If after reading, you are willing to continue. You would be very happy as a JW. I must warn you because they might be dangerous books. I doubt if any true JW can read such books since they are classified as apostate doctrines. But if you are a true seeker of truth, you would want to know about the history of what u consider truth. Reading them will give you two sides to the story and you can make your choice. I'll restate it in clear terms, the moment you agree to be a JW, you close your mind to all other teachings. Have you ever wondered why JWs cant attend other churches? (they can be banned for this act). And if you decide to leave, you risk your happiness with guilt that many cannot recover from.
That said, JW are fine people and they are "cleaner" than most other churches. I dont think they are perfect. 99% truth + 1% poison is still poison. Your summaries are biased and misleading but worst of all FALSE. |

justwise: I think we should find out how an individual can register or get a licence to practice as a forensic expert so that when you present your evidence in court it will not be dismissed. A forensic expert can't get hold of suspect's hard drive or any electronic device without some sort of authority. I think a Nig police lawyer will know better regarding what is the usual practise for a valid seisure. I think one should hear from those who has presented such electronic evidence in the past:were they regarded as experts (recognised by law) or simply as "knowledgeable" in the field of forensic? or were they treated as coming from EFCC, ICPC, NDLEA etc? But 1st, no one is authourised in the constitution to issue such licenses--or is there? |

denzel2009: Have you seen Nigerian Police at a crime scene before? It's all jokes!
Forensic IT is more complicated because having a tenable chain of custody takes skill and years of practice not to talk of Premier certifications to your name like GPen, CISSP, CHFI, CISA etc.
I don't think you can learn anything in foresnsic IT in Nigeria until we start taking IT security serious. I know of Radiography practise in this country. The diploma used to be from London until those who qualified began "producing" their Nigerian version of radiographers. Anyone who wants to be a radiographer can verify all there is to know about the body and that's genuiness and transparency. |
